These next two chapters are going to be split into two parts. The first one will be in Clarissa's POV and how she's learning about what Void meant in terms of - what I like to call for this story - the Yin-Yang prophecy.

(Clarissa's POV)

That night, I was getting ready for bed when I heard Mike knocking on the door to my room. "Hey, sis. Can I come in?"

I nodded as I pulled on my robe and tied it. "Come on in, bro."

Mike walked into the room and smiled at me. I always thought it was amazing how we looked so similar to each other: Messy brown hair that went all over the place, blue eyes that sparkled in the brightest lights. It was almost like we were twins.

He came over to my side and sat down with me on the bed, his tone becoming slightly serious. "I heard from Kira that the Nogitsune is on the loose again."

I nodded a bit. "Yeah. The weird thing is, he didn't seem to want to attack me. It was almost like he was fascinated with me being a Celestial Kitsune."

He blinked in confusion. "Okay?"

I sighed and went on. "Void told me that... he and I could bring light and dark together, that we could make something new." I looked at Mike in concern. "That's only just a saying, isn't it? What he means by that?"

He furrowed his brows in thought. "Maybe, and maybe not. There is a fine line between good and evil. If he gives you the thing to cross that line, there could be some major changes in the balance of the supernatural and the human world."

I paled as I thought that over. What kind of changes could he mean?

Mike checked his phone when he got an alert and sighed softly. "Damn. The sheriff called me in. There's been a murder." My brother worked for Stiles' dad, so I knew that he was gonna have to get going.

I nodded to my brother. "Go. Solve the mystery, Holmes."

He chuckled at my nickname for him as he got up and walked out. "Later, Lupin." He closed the door behind him as he left.

As soon as the door clicked shut, another voice, freaky familiar, sounded off. "I thought he'd never leave."

I jumped and looked around as Void walked out of the shadows, smirking at me.

"Lupin and Holmes. Adorable nicknames for you two." He commented.

I sighed softly. "They've been our nicknames since we were born."

He nodded. "Oh, I understand." He sat down on the edge of my bed and watched me as I scooted away from him. "A dynamic duo has to exist, right?"

That reminded me of earlier. "What did you mean by what you said earlier, you know, light and dark uniting as one?"

He tilted his head curiously. "Ever hear of the Yin-Yang prophecy?"

That peaked my interest. The Yin-Yang prophecy? That was a legend among Kitsunes. I nodded a little. "I always thought it to be a myth."

He shook his head lightly. "It's not a myth. I've seen it myself." He started quoting the words exactly as I had read them: "And thus when the lunar eclipse rises, the time when the wolves are weak, the light of a Celestial Kitsune and the shadows of a Nogitsune shall unite within the light girl's womb and create a united front that shall determine the fate of the child, whether they turn to light to save both worlds or darkness and destroy the worlds."

I swallow hard. "That girl could be me and you the dark."

He nodded again. "You need to make your decision and soon." He teleported away.

I shuddered as I dove under my blankets and hid there, trying to fall asleep but when I did, I started having dreams about the prophecy. Could I really be that same girl in it?
