White Holes and Giants

I laid on Hyakutake and could see,
The Giants marching from the Great White Hole.
I waved a hand and they waved back at me.
Then they continued to their starry knoll.
I spent a few years-- a cent'ry or so--
With Giants who live'd amidst the Old Star.
They taught me which crops I could plant and sow;
The kind that came from galaxies afar.
I wish I could have had more time with them,
These peculiar people of the Sky.
Even though the chances of it are slim,
I hope to see them again 'fore I die.
Eventually, I had to set sail,
And soared away within a Moonlight Gale.
