Today I didn't go to school at all, I woke-up feeling achy all over. It was so bad that Mom had to wake me up ten minutes before she left when I would normally be out the door. She didn't leave on time today. Feeling my forehead she said I was warm. I was cold still am cold in fact I have two blankets on me.
Mom took a quick sample in with while I was sleeping. Now its past one, I managed to get up for water then back to my bed. The whole trip made me tired. This is a tell tale sign of influenza. The flu on Earth it was bad here its worst cause this is such a closed system all you have to say is flu and you land in isolation.
This can either be at home or hospital. Influenza if confirmed will have me quarantine here until my fever breaks then two days after that. Also all my clothes and blankets with be irritated to kill any germs on them. Then all the walls and surfaces will have to be washed with a horrible smelling chemical wash.
I pause my writing to take a drink.
It would be my luck that I get sick since its everything else has happened to me this year. Good thing it's almost over.

"Dylan?"
I wake-up in fog my head is heavy and even opening my eyes hurts. "I'm sick aren't I?"
She presses a glass to my lips. "Yes, come on baby drink this."
"Hot," I say pushing the blankets off my trembling body.
"Are you hungry?"
"No, I'm tired Mom."
She pulls the blanket off of my burning body. "Ok you just rest."
"I'm sorry." I breath out.
She touches my hair its damp with sweat. "For what Little Bit?'
"For being so much trouble."
