Chapter 18

Brandon's POV

It had 5 years.... I bet Blue and Callie were living in a shitty apartment with low wage. Lol. I came into the house and laid on the bed, pulling out a separate sheet of paper. I picked up the pen again but I couldn't find myself writing another letter to Callie or Blue. It had been months since we last spoke via letter and I hadn't responded to her letter, I finally wrote on the paper.

Dear Callie, thats it. That's all I wrote and I put it aside and got on my phone, Sierra has sent me 26 messages about the new delicate process we had to go through to make it past Liam's forces.

He had turn against Ricardo and was fighting back with him now and it was my job with Lou's help to make sure I know everything going on and what's gonna happen, get the information to Villalobos and make sure he stops it. In other words, be a step ahead of Liam's pathetic self. I looked at the paper again with Callie's name on it and I turned toward it with the pen, avoiding Sierras text messages. "Dear Callie..." I whispered to myself and began to write Callie everything like I promised her I would.

"Dear Callie,

It's been a couple months since I've written a letter due to all my busy work here unfortunately I can't tell you where that location is either but there's blue wallpaper in my room and the sky is blue and the beach is blue and no matter what, it makes me think of only one person. I miss her so much and tell her no matter where I am in the world, I will always love her. I will always love you Callie Jacob and now matter where I am, I want you to be safe and happy and I know I lost the right to know these things long ago and I also know that it's the best for me, you and Blue. Make it worth your wild and write me back, ASAP.

Yours truly, B."

I put it in an envelope, put a stamp and the address and ran downstairs, putting it in the mailbox. "Finally writing Callie back?" Lou asked happily when I walked through the house. "Yeah," I smiled, biting my lip and going upstairs to text Sierra back about the new information I got on Liam.

6 months passed and no response from Callie. Blankly nothing. Not even Blue, I paid no mind to it because I had work to think about so I shook it out of my head and Ricardo came into the house. "Any word?" We all shook our heads. "Let's head out then, we can't let him win this time. Move out!" I grabbed my gun and trailed down the desert of Africa. That's where we were. Lou took the night rover out as I hopped on and had my armor on, this was critical and dangerous.

We moved the poor night city of Seria in Africa. Lou put her night vision goggles on and looked around, "We have to be careful... This is dangerous." I pulled the guns out and the bombs strapped to my vest. The roar of a helicopter roared from above and shot at us, Lou swerved the car a bit and pressed her foot on the gas to go faster. "SHOOT!" She spat. I fired aimlessly at the helicopter above but nothing happened, it began to follow us and people around us began shooting, I put a pair of goggles on and shot, making the men fall to there deaths.

More shots and there was something thrown, Lou saw it and pressed on the gas trying to get away but the impact to was too big and we flew, we rolled over in the rover with excessive damage and I saw people hovering over us, trying to help. "KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN! C'MON B!! KEEP THEM OPEN!" He shook me up and 2 guys helped me to the gurny. Lou was pinned under the rover until they managed to get that heavy 800 pound death machine off her; surprised it didn't kill her. "--LOU!!" The men screamed, my ears were blown out. All I heard was faint muffles but coherent enough to understand. "--LOU!! WAKE UP!!!" He screamed and my eyes gave in to death or sleep.

Whichever was faster.

I woke up in a hospital bed. I checked the calendar next to me, 3 weeks had passed. I groaned and the nurse checked my pupils. "Welcome back.." She gave me a smile and I looked around, confused of my surroundings. "Hey buddy boy." I looked toward the door and there was Sierra, she kissed my chapped lips and it was good to see her again, big scar or no big scar.
