I wonder what it feels like to be one of the many people who seem to so easily trample over me. I mean, I don't remember doing anything wrong to them but here they are, making me feel like the loneliest person on earth.
It was break time and I was minding my own business, eating my food when one of them decides to come and flip my food tray onto my clothes. What made it worse was today we were having spaghetti and meatballs and now all of the sauce was on my clothes.
Of course everyone laughed, why wouldn't they? After all, it was the popular kids who did this and if it's okay for them, then it's okay for everyone else. Through the crowd of people laughing, I spot the one person that isn't. In fact he looks furious as he makes his way over to my table.
Tzuyu: Oh, hi Ten. *flirtatious tone*
Ten just looks at her with fire in his eyes, he doesn't reply and simply comes up to where I'm seated, still not confident enough to get up and leave. Ten looks at me with a tender expression *as he asks with a soft voice*
Ten: Are you okay?
I didn't feel like crying up until that moment. Not because of what happened but rather because of how delicately he handles me as if I'll break if he's any harder. I shake my head no, not able to form any words and he sighs.
Ten: I'm sorry *whispers*
He takes the jacket he's wearing off and drapes it around me. Wrapping an arm around my shoulders, Ten helps me up from my seat. I hear a scoff come out from someone's mouth and I immediately freeze.
Tzuyu: Seriously Ten? Why've you been putting up with that charity case? Just come hang with us already.
Lou: Yeah, I bet we're a lot more fun than her.
I felt Ten's grip get tighter as his whole body seemed to tense after every word they said. He was angry and I could tell but he was trying to hold it all in, he didn't want to burst into a rage and scare me off.
Ten: The only charity cases I see over here are you guys. Thanks but no thanks; I'd rather stick with real people.
And with that he stormed off forcing me to go with him as he had grabbed my hand, not that I mind; it was getting hard to breathe in there. We didn't say a word to each other as we walked, he was clearing out his head and bit by bit his grip felt more and more relaxed. I didn't know where he was taking me until he suddenly stopped in front of a door.
Y/N: Where are we? *asked in small voice*
Ten: Lost and found, let's get you something else to wear. *smiles*
Instead of saying anything I just nod in agreement. Ten doesn't waste any time and quickly gets me a black tee to replace the white one I was wearing. It's gonna be a pain to get the stains off now. After handing me the tee he walked with me to the ladies bathroom and waited for me outside. When I came out, there was a smile plastered on his face, one that looked relieved.
Ten: There, now I don't feel so guilty.
Y/N: You don't have to feel guilty Ten.
I frowned and handed him back his jacket that he had put on me earlier.
Ten: I do, if I'd come sooner it wouldn't have happened. *eyes full with compassion*
Y/N: I could've waited for you but I decided not to so it's also my fault then. *argued*
Ten: It's not, how-
Y/N: Exactly, it's no one's fault, it happened and neither of us can do anything about it now. *cut him short*
