I've been packing my things up all this week and moving it out slowly . mama don't even know I'm leaving yet but I'm gonna have to tell her soon because tomorrow is move in day
I was putting my books from my book shelf in a box "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOUUU HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR NOVAH HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU" my mom sang to me as she walked in with a cake
I pushed the box under my bed
"Ma you didn't have to do this" I said and hugged her
" yes I did my baby is turning 18 today now make a wish"
I blew the candles out
"Novah I want to ask you something"
"Yeahh ma" "Are you keeping the baby"
My heart dropped how did she know and she saw it all in my face because she grabbed my hand
"I saw a test in the trash one day last week"
"No I'm not keeping her I'm giving her up for adoption"
Tears fell from her eyes
"Im so sorry I didn't say anything at first I just didn't know how to handle it"
"It's okay I learned not to even trip anymore and just live life"
"I will support any decision you have you know that"she said
"Well since you said that I am moving out tomorrow I got an apartment with Raheem"
She took a deep breath
"Okay look at you making woman moves I am proud of you" she kissed my fore head
"Did you need help packing anything"
I looked around "no I think I'm good every things already packed up"
"Okaee well enjoy your day I know you have something planned for today I'm gonna head out for work"
She walked out
"Well that went better than I expected it to" I said to myself
....... Raheem took me out to eat and then to the movies later on that day . I didn't wanna do anything too big because I am pregnant.
"So did you enjoy your 18th birthday" Raheem asked me
"Yep I did because I got to spend it with my favorite person" I kissed him
