"here's where we found him", the teen pointed at a place where dry blood is still partly visible and a yellow tape which says 'caution' on it surrounded the place, "the dead body of my older brother was found here two days ago"

guan yue gasped as he covered his mouth with his right hand, "two days ago? could we still be able to get the findings from the autopsy?"

"the right question is, could we still find some evidences around the place?", changxi coldly stated as he shoved his hands on to his packets

"i have them with me, the thing is, i want you to find out who killed my older brother", the teen paused for awhile before she continued, "you can ask me for the evidences and the autopsy report, i can give them to you anytime"

jia yi stared at her blank face before he commented, "you could have gave it to the police though, why bother giving it to us and solving the case on our own?"

hanyu and youwei glared at jia yi for commenting nonsense as they both speak, "we've been on a hiatus for too long! this is a great opportunity for us to go back into the business again!"

"you don't trust the police, don't you?", zhenning inquired as he looked around the place for more possible evidences

the teen nodded, "i trust you more, you were the most prominent detectives that ever lived! besides i could afford you guys!", the teen opened her backpack and handed the files and documents to wenhan, "the only thing that i don't have is the cctv footage"

wenhan grabbed the documents from her and smiled, "don't worry, we'll do the rest of things for you. thanks for cooperating!"

"we'll tell you if we got any reports, you may go now!", mingming stated and stucked in the lollipop he brought afterwards

the teen immediately started to walk away when chunyang called her to inquire something for the last time

"what was your older brother's name, by the way?", chunyang shouted for the lady to hear, she stopped walking and turned her back to face them, curiosity quickly filled the mind of the eight boys when chunyang inquired those questions

the teen showed them her smile but it's not a genuine one, as if she's been crying for a lot of days already, "Xu Minghao"

the boys came back at their mansion as they looked through the folders, the only persons who were not present were wenhan and jia yi

"xu minghao huh? he's a pretty handsome man!", mingming commented as he looked through xu minghao's pictures

"is someone can really be this rich? i mean he makes more money than all of our money combined!", chunyang shouted as he shoved the papers to hanyu's face, "take a look at it"

hanyu was pretty annoyed by chunyang's actions so he tried to get away from him without hurting his feelings, "okay i know i know, calm down!"

"does he had any past medical records? like having a mental health problem perhaps? like depression?", changxi suddenly inquired as he looked up from the papers he was holding

the rest of the boys stared at changxi weirdly for stating those nonsense, changxi quickly defended himself, "WHAT? I MEAN IT'S POSSIBLE NOWADAYS!"

"what makes you say that?", guan yue inquired with a look of disgust and horror written on his face

youwei added, "he got the looks, the business, and the money. what else could he'll be sad for?"

"problem with his business or love life maybe?", zhenning inquired which chunyang quickly denied, "he doesn't have any girlfriend, and his business is pretty successful"

changxi spreads out both of his hands on his sides, "okay, calm down! hear me out first!", the rest of the boys quickly stopped talking as changxi breathed deeply, "what i was trying to say was you could stage your own death"

"and? what does that mean?", mingming inquired as he fixed his glasses by the bridge of his nose from falling

"he could had a mental illness before that makes him want to have a suicide but in order not to ruin his image until he die, he asked someone to kill him instead of cutting his life off with his own hands. in this generation, that case is really possible!", changxi explained thoroughly, he waited for everyone's reactions when silence suddenly filled the place

minutes later, soft chuckles were heard. chunyang was the first one to laugh, followed by youwei and the rest of the boys except for changxi who was kind of lost on why they were laughing, "what's too funny about it?"

guan yue continued to laugh as he try to make his statement, "HAHAHAHAHAHA that's so HAHAHAHAHAHA ridiculous!!"

zhenning wiped off the tears that came out from his eyes, "never knew you were this smart, changxi"

"guys! i'm serious!", changxi groaned and pouted afterwards

"seriously funny! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA i never thought i will be hearing that from the smartest one here!", hanyu commented

mingming agreed, "that's too impossible, changxi! he's living the best life!"

"but that doesn't mean you're granted to be happy if you're living your idea of best life! a person can always mask his feelings!", changxi complained to everyone but they still continued laughing despite changxi's annoyed expression

wenhan and jia yi entered the house and immediately saw the commotion, "are you guys okay?", jia yi inquired as he looked to his friends

youwei smiled at the boys who just entered, "we're fine! we're just having a little fun here"

"how was the search? did you got any cctv footage that we could look?", chunyang inquired as he wiped off his tears that came out due to laughing

wenhan suddenly frowned, "actually about that, every footage there is on that particular day and time were gone and deleted suddenly. we are yet to figure out why."

jiayi added, "what's even more sketchy was that it's the only deleted one as if the culprit really planned this event."
