Claire lay on her mattress in her undecorated room in a big empty house. She missed her old house she missed her old family, the family that could laugh about anything the family that seemed to have an unbreakable bond. Well that 'unbreakable bond' broke, not just broke shattered into millions of pieces when her mother caught her dad with his mistress 1 month ago. To make matters worse her dad had gotten her mum pregnant 3 months ago, but the real cherry on top was he got his mistress pregnant BEFORE he got Claire's mum pregnant. That's right his mistress is 4 months pregnant while Claire's mum Devinity is only 3 months pregnant. Devinity was shattered when she found out that Kaiden was cheating and she even almost lost her job.
"Claire come down here I found another box for you" Devinity yelled out
"Coming Mum" Claire yelled back 'I wonder if my red bottoms are in the-' Claire's thought was cut off when her phone buzzed 'one new text' the bright screen said Claire opened the text and to her dismay it was from her dad... again. She let out a sigh of dismay before opening the text
"Hey princess, please let me explain. Meet me at 12pm at mindensplurge cafe."
"No dad that's final." Claire replied
A few seconds later Claire's phone buzzed again
"Come on cupcake please"
"Stop with the nicknames. No" Claire responded
Claire shoved her phone down onto her bed and stomped downstairs to her lounge room
"What's wrong?" Devinity asks
"Nothing." Claire replied quickly
"Is it your Dad"
"No"
"Is it"
"Nope"
"Don't lie to me"
"Yes"
"What does that bastard want"
"He wants to get lunch"
"Why so he can explain" Devinity said sarcastically
"Yep"
The room fell silent. Things were different since Kaiden left, relationships in the house had been strained it was like everyone was just waiting for someone else to breakdown, Kaiden however seemed to be doing just fine him and his mistress Yasmine bought a house together and are expecting a baby boy mid November.
"Anyways here's your box"
"Thanks mum" Claire replied
Claire waltzed back up the stairs and down the hall.
