Lost Girl #6

She tried,

She failed,

She cried,

She wailed.

Nothing seems to end,

Though we know it’s not true,

Everything here is pretend,

No, it was not you.

Look back to the past,

She could never see,

Everything here doesn’t last,

She could never be free.

Her guilt keeps eating her alive,

Though she would never admit,

Her past mistakes turned into lies,

With all that she only sees fit.

She could not bear,

The secrets she keeps,

They were never fair,

Nor did they let her sleep.

Only now they realize their mistake,

One could never bear the weight of world,

But one could always take,

That last shining pearl.

Her heart remained silent,

But her tears never did,

Her eyes remained patient,

But her feelings never sit.

A fire could warm her heart,

It could also cause her tears to dry,

Making her eyes see the part,

That has always been a lie.

With her broken state of mind,

They started to regret their action,

But there was no way to rewind,

It had become her destruction.
