Midnight pov
Mount lady punched her fist through the lab and opened her hand so midnight could climb in. Midnight didn't flinch but held the sleeping child closer as she climbed into mnt. Ladies hand.
Mnt. Lady: going up
She straightens and walked away from the lab as the charges exploded and erased everything except the small body in midnights hand.
Mnt. Lady: did you find anything on those few who went missing a while back?
Midnight: yes, their all dead, dismembered
Mnt. Lady: damit, well at least tell me you found something good, I'm gonna need something happier than my beautiful self to think about
Midnight: well....I don't know about good....
They were nearing headquarters
Mnt. Lady: what?
Midnight: I'll show you when you shrink back down
They got to the building and mnt. Lady set midnight down before letting herself shrink back down.
Mnt. Lady: what did you find?
Midnight moved her arms and let mnt. Lady see the child.
Mnt. Lady: what did that nut job want with a little kid? Why take them?
Midnight: I don't think they were taken
Mnt. Lady: say again?
Midnight: I think they were using the dna of the other heroes to clone this kid
Mnt. Lady: how old are they ?
Midnight: based on the notes I found, about two weeks
Mnt. Lady: what are we going to do with them
Midnight: I don't know, this is a first to me
Mnt. Lady: we have to report it
Midnight: are you crazy? The person who made them was a lunatic obsessed with creating quirks. They would kill them on sight then cut them open to see how they work
Midnight was so passionate in her words that she surprised herself, she also noticed that she had held the child closer to herself protecting them with her body
Mnt. Lady: what do we do?
She sat on a nearby bench and rubbed her eyes
Mnt. Lady: do you think it worked?
Midnight: what?
Mnt. Lady: the experiment, do you think the kid has a quirk?
Midnight looked at them studyingly.
She shrugged
Midnight: I have no idea
Mnt. Lady: that's just great
