[ I wanted it to be known that the pic is what all the boys are wearing (no good pics of joe in a sweater so i found a cute dino one for him :') ]
all of the boys were at Ben's place for their christmas celebration as a band. it's a week before christmas but their break from filming has just started so within the next few days everyone is going to be off with their families. the boys have known each other less than a year but they formed their own little family, therefore they felt it necessary to do this mini christmas gathering.
"guys lets exchange presents!" joe gets up and says excitedly. all of them placed their presents under bens exceptionally large tree upon arrival. joe acts as santa and begins distributing the gifts accordingly. there should be twelve presents, three from each person, but joe saw a thirteenth one hidden back in the corner. he gets on his hands and knees to reach it when ben stops him.
"joe, joe! dont worry about that one. thats for my mum," he yells. joe stops in his tracks and starts backing out.
"alrighty then," he says with a struggled tone as he nearly got caught on the tree, almost tearing the whole thing down.
joe sits back down next to ben and puts all his presents on his lap. "okay, who's first?!" joe couldnt wait. he was like a kid when it came to christmas (well hes like that all the time, but especially with christmas).
"well i think it would be cool if we kind of went in a circle and opened all the presents from one person at a time," gwil said leaving everyone confused. (his inner bri jumped out).
"so like ben opens my gift to him, then joe opens my gift to him, then rami opens my gift to him. then we all open bens gifts and so on," and with that explanation they all shook their head in agreement as it was much easier to understand.
"cant we all just rip them open at once?" joe whined.
"no because then it will be over in two seconds. learn how to be patient, would ya," gwil fires back. joe pouts but he realizes hes still opening presents so he snaps out of it real fast.
ben goes first. gwil got him a set of shot glasses that have designs from the movie grease on them (ben had to perform a rendition of grease in his time on eastenders).
"oh gwil, you know i have ptsd from that."
"thats why i thought it was funny. and they're shot glasses so as you drink from them the more youll forget about it," gwil explained himself. his gifts were always thoughtful. whether or not it was a good present, you know a gift from gwil has a meaning.
they continued opening gwils presents. he got joe tickets to see the band third eye blind in concert later in the year because he knows joe loves them although he hardly talks about them. and he got rami an exact replica of the arm cuff that freddie wore at Live Aid, since rami isnt allowed to take it from set after filming.
next was bens turn. joe was first. as he was opening, ben was explaining. "i remember seeing your post of you holding this on your instagram. and i know it was a joke or whatever but i dont know i thought you'd like it." joe holds up the shirt and it was the gray tee with the jurassic park logo on it. he gasped and looked over at ben.
"ben oh my god. i love it. but you know i have like eight of them right?"
"shit, are you kidding?!" ben was bummed he really thought that was a good thoughtful gift, however joe did post that picture years ago.
"i still love it though, and this one is special because its from one half of hardzello," joe joked, although he wasnt actually kidding.
they continue opening bens presents. he hands rami an envelope. when he opens it he finds a piece of paper.
