On this fateful day
Serendipity abandoned its kind ways
Leaving the demons to run free
Wailing the cry of the banshees
It began with a rumble
A rumble, gently shaking the earth
But it soon grew to the firth
And the earth began to crumble
With a cry so savage
Did the earth ravage
It tore the work of thousands of men
It tore them all apart
The eaves collapsed; so did the men
The land was torn; so was the earth
With such terror did they dart
Yet in no place could they part!
The earth finished its malady,
Its cry worn, over was its brutality
But the land was razed,
Leaving nothing to gaze.
