Prologue

The Midnight Howlers have attacked us, and...

But before he could continue he had already been shot and had fallen in front of me. My eyes were wide, my brain failed to register what happened. Everyone was laughing just a few seconds ago and then shouts were heard. No one was hurt except for the man lying in front of me and then suddenly I was lifted in the air and then very roughly dropped on a hard surface. Even though my eyes were shut, I could feel the fur and figured it would be a wolf. 
The moment he figured that I was comfortable, he started running. I had to hold his upper body tightly to not fall of. I wanted to escape but why wasn't I?
After a few minutes of strong winds and crunches of branches, we reached a big mansion. I was awestruck, never had I see such a beautiful mansion.

And then suddenly everything went black......
