I felt myself slowly regain consciousness and I opened my eyes tiredly. My body felt so drained of energy . When I finally got my eyes to open, I gasped as I took in my surroundings.

I was in one of those cells for prisoners. The brick walls looking old and moldy with the water dripping from the ceilings. The caged door looking like the only improvement. As if it was newly put there.

My eyes landed on a body opposite of me. The exact same brown hair as mine, flailing around her body and covering her face. Chains attached to her wrists, making her position look uncomfortable. Oh my god.

"Zaira!, " I screamed, ready to run over to her, only to be restrained. I was handcuffed too. I was about to shift out of it, only to realize I cant feel my wolf .

"You cant shift, " a voice called. I gasped and looked to where it came from.

It was Jake. Only, a very different Jake than I've seen before. Instead of the lively and friendly jake, this was a beaten and tired looking one.

He had Jamie's sleeping form on his lap, but his hands were restrained. Including Jamie's.

"Why? Where are we?, " I asked, scared and panicked. He looked down on Jamie's sleeping face and answered, " Wolfsbane. Its sorta like a drug. It blocks off our wolf. That's why you cant contact yours. As for where we are .. I dont know. "

I nodded and sat back down on my lower legs. As much as I want to panic, I wont. I need to be strong enough to survive this . I glanced over at my twin and bit back a whimper, " How long have I been out? "

"About two hours. Zaira hasn't gotten up yet, " he answered . I took a deep breath and tried to control my anger . If they over-drugged her or something , Ill kill them .

Trying to change my thoughts , I looked over at Jake . He was staring sadly at Jamie . "Shes your mate , isnt she ? ," I asked him , already knowing the answer .

He half-smiled and nodded . Then , hung his head down in shame . "Im sorry it happened this way , Zarai . I didnt mean for this to happen . We shouldnt have left the gathering . Its guall my fault ," he choked on his own words .

"No , Jake . This is none - ," I started but he cut me off . "But it is . I was the idiot who brought her with me . I put her in danger . Now they have you too . And Zaira . I failed as a mate and as an enforcer to keep my Alpha Female and Beta Female safe ," he muttered angrily to himself .

"I shouldnt have let this happen . Jamie shouldnt be in here with me . Neither should you or Zaira . I let down Jace and Malik . I let down the whole pack ," he hung his head in shame .

"Jake, Look at me ," I called out to him . It took him a moment , but he raised his head and met my eyes .

"Dont ever think that way . Do you understand me ? I know you protected Jamie with all you could . This is none of your fault . Whose fault is those idiots that kidnapped us . As for us , you had no fault for that either ," I scolded him, looking down in shame myself. I knew we shouldnt have left ..

He was about to protest , but a whimper from Zaira caught our attention . I got on my knees and went as far as the chains would let me . "Zai ? Twin ? ," I asked softly . Please tell me shes okay .

I watched as she sat up and looked around . "R-rai ? Where a-are we ? ," she croaked . I let out a breath of relief and tried to smile comfortingly at her . "Are you okay , Zai ? Are you hurt ? ," I asked , worried .

She whimpered and shook her head . Her eyes turned glassy and I took a deep breath as I watched a tear fall down her right cheek . "Rai . Is my dream real ? Did we really get kidnapped ? ," she cried .
