In the middle of the scene just as I was about to say my line my manager walks up to me with an unreadable facial expression.
"Hey what's going on". I ask walking off set with a smile
"Lauren I'm so sorry". She said causing my smile to slowly fade
"What do you mean you're sorry what's going on". I ask folding my arms
"Nipsey, he was shot out". She started to say but I was already grabbing my things and out the door
~35 minutes later~
Pulling up into the hospital parking lot I get out of the car and rush inside looking around for Samiel.
"Lauren over here". I heard someone say from behind me
"What did they say". I ask looking around at his family members who all held the same facial expression
"I have to go back there". I said trying to walk to the back when hands grabbed me and I fought against them
"LET ME GO". I Screamed trying to fight out of the persons hold
"Sis calm down". The voice said letting me know it was Samiel but that didn't stop me from fighting against him
"Babygirl it's okay". His father said pulling me into a hug
"They took him from me". I cried into his chest as he rubbed my back
"I know baby girl but you got to be strong not only for yourself but for the kids". His father said as I continued to cry in his chest
"I feel so lost I don't know what to do". I said shaking my head
"You're going to keep your head held high and continue the marathon you hear me".he said and I nod my head wiping my eyes
"Family of Ermias Asghedom you may go back and say your goodbyes". The doctor said holding a clipboard
"Lauren why don't you go first sweetheart". His mother said rubbing my back
Following behind the doctor he led me to Ermias room before walking away. Staring at the door for a minute I place my hand on the knob twisting it and pushing it open.
Walking in I see him lying there peacefully so I walk over and grab his hand.
"Ermias I'm so sorry I should have been there with you". I said lying my head on his chest as I cried
Stroking his bread I just sat there and stared at him.
~1 hour later~
Hearing the door open I turn around and see that it's his family coming in.
"How you holding up you been in here an hour and your manager picked up the kids ". His dad said as everybody looked at me
"I don't think I will be able to let him go". I said rubbing his braids as I looked down at him
"In a few more minutes they're coming to take him". His mom said and I shook my head as tears began to fall
"Why would someone do this". I questioned wiping my eyes
"Because there are hatful people in this world that don't want to see you make it and will do anything to stop you". His father said making everybody in the room agree
Before anything else could be said there was a knock on the door and the doctor walked in.
"I'm sorry but we have to take him away". He said as nurses walked in behind him
