Chapter 17

YN woke up, her alarm was so annoying. She turned it off and groaned. Ginny was waking up as well, YN explained the events of the previous evening to her, Ginny grinned,

"We can do so many pranks with this," she said, 

"I know!" YN said,

"But you won't, will you?" came Hermione's voice,

"I thought you had grown out of your goody-two-shoes phase," YN laughed, Hermione smiled and rolled her eyes. 

In the great hall, Fred and George were deep in conversation, 

"You should, it will be amazing," George said,

"What will be amazing?" YN asked, sitting next to Fred,

"Nothing, how are you, baby?" Fred asked,

"Amazing, you?"

"I'm good if you're good, why are you amazing?" Fred asked. YN smiled and she didn't even have to close her eyes to change her hair to delicate ginger to match Fred's,

"What do you think?" YN asked, drinking some pumpkin juice and taking a bite of her breakfast,

"That's really cool, NN," Fred said,

"Thanks, wait, Harry's coming," YN said, keeping her hair ginger,

"Hey YN, wow!" he said, seeing her hair, "What is this?" he indicated to her hair,

"Oh, this?" she turned her hair purple, then blue, then back to her normal colour,

"What?" YN explained to Harry briefly, then turned back to Fred,

"It's pretty cool, isn't it?" she said,

"Yep, can you do anything else?" Fred asked,

"My eyes, McGonagall wants to teach me more. Last night, I had a small issue where I tried to turn my hair black and eyes green but messed up and it was the other way around. Hermione looked terrified, me with solid black eyes," YN said, laughing,

"You could really creep people out on Halloween," Fred said, YN's face fell, Lily and James died on Halloween, "Oh- sorry, love, I forgot,"

"Lucky you, it's fine, love," YN said, smiling again. She thought for a second and gave herself an FC streak in her hair, she saw it and smiled,

"That really suits you," Fred said, kissing YN's nose, making her scrunch it up, "But you really don't need to change how you look, you're perfect,"

"You are too sweet to me," YN said, failing to hide her blushing cheeks, "Harry, are you ready for the second challenge?"

"Yeah, I guess,"

"Miss Granger, could you come with me?" Dumbledore asked, stood behind her,

"Sure, Professor, bye Harry. If I don't see you before the challenge, good luck," Hermione stood up, hugged Harry from behind and kissed his cheek. She ruffled her hair,

"Bye, NN," she said,

"Bye, Mione," YN said, "You'll do great, Harry, I'm sure,"

Down by the great lake, Harry had just arrived. Neville nodded at YN,

"Harry, swallow the damn thing," she hissed, seeing Harry with something in his mouth. He swallowed it and the bell sounded. YN couldn't see her brother and a few seconds later, she saw him leap up out of the water. Then nothing. There was silence for a few seconds, then Victor came up with Angeline Johnson,

"We have our first place winner," came Dumbledore's voice. YN looked at her watch,

"How long does the thing last?" YN asked Neville,

"An hour or so," he replied. It had been half an hour when Fleur came up alone. Harry was the only one down there. Harry and YN had a signal, red sparks for danger. She saw something red in the water and began to panic. YN somehow knew what to do. She thought of gills, webbed hands and feet. She looked down and smirked to herself, diving into the water. She saw Fleur's sister being guarded by a mermaid. Cedric was unconscious next to Cho, who was frozen, like Hermione. Harry looked at YN, who nodded. She cut the ropes from Fleur's sister, swimming up with her. YN pulled her over to Fleur, who began hugging her sister. YN nodded at her then went back down. Cedric was now bleeding, Harry was keeping the mermaids back, he nodded at YN, meaning she should stay up afterwards. YN took Cedric up to the surface. She hauled him onto the side and got rid of her fish-like features then wrapped his wounds,

"YN?" Cedric said, flinching as she finished bandaging him,

"You'll be okay," YN said,

"Cho?"

"Harry's got her, she's safe," YN hoped. Cedric kissed her on the lips, she pulled back immediately, "Diggory?!"

"What?" he huffed,

"I have a boyfriend," YN said. She heard someone pushing through the crowds and saw red hair, "Shit. Well done, Cedric! If you have broken up me and my boyfriend, I will kill you myself," YN hissed, running after Fred, "Fred? Fred?" Fred ignored her, "Fredrick Weasley!"

"What?" Fred's eyes were bloodshot, "Go snog your new boyfriend,"

"Cedric kissed me. I pulled back after less than a second. I don't know why, but I threatened him and I'm sorry,"

"Sorry doesn't cut it," 

"Fred,"

"I can't, YN, just leave me alone," Fred turned and left. George ran up to her,

"George, I didn't kiss Cedric-"

"I know, I'll talk to him, go to your brother," George said. YN smiled and ran back to Harry. The second she saw him, she hugged him around the neck,

"Thanks," Harry said, kissing YN's forehead,

"In light of recent events, we have decided to call it a draw between Mr Krum and Mr Potter. A special thank you and congratulations go to YN Potter for bravery and helping when others were in danger, 50 points to Gryffindor," Dumbledore said, earning many cheers,

"Thank you, YN!" Hermione said, "Harry told me what you did,"

"Thanks, just give me a second," YN walked over to Cho, "Your boyfriend kissed me, against my will,"

"What? Cedric is this true?" Cho turned to her boyfriend,

"What, no baby,"

"Everyone here saw it," YN said. Cho slapped him across the face. YN smirked at him, the slapped him also, "That is for cheating," she slapped him again, "And that is for almost breaking me and my boyfriend up,"

YN went back to the common room, where Fred was sat,

"YN, George told me what happened," he said when he saw her. YN hugged him, 

"I'm happy to have you back," she whispered in his ear,

"That was some pretty amazing things you did back there," Fred said,

"I just saw red sparks and knew I had to, so I just guessed what to do, I don't think I could do it again if I tried," she laughed,

"I love you, YN,"

"I love you, too, Freddie," YN said, kissing him on the cheek.
