Beomgyu's eyes drifted over the front of classroom boredly as the teacher in front didn't even conduct the lesson. Well, he had finished speaking, but now he were just sitting on their phone. Mr Lau was known for being quite a relaxed teacher and spoke comfortably with students, but Beomgyu somehow always managed to be on his bad side.

Beomgyu flicked his pen from side to side in a tired manner. You'd expect classes to be interesting when it's your last year, but all he felt was stress and regret for living. How fun.

Beomgyu was about to disrupt the lesson, like he loved doing so much, but his motive was stopped when the classroom door was knocked on. It was soon opened and a brown-haired boy stepped in. Beomgyu dropped his pen and stared at the boy.

"Taehyun," Mr Lau smiled upon seeing the boy. Taehyun bowed politely and walked over to the teacher. "How can I help you, my boy?"

"Uhm, Mrs Yeong is looking for the question papers from the previous English exam," Taehyun spoke softly.

"Taehyun-ah," a random male called out. Taehyun looked at the boy, who was sitting next to Beomgyu, with a frown. The unknown male pointed at Beomgyu with a smirk. Beomgyu laughed loudly and hit the boy's arm.

"Beomgyu, close that big mouth of yours," Mr Lau called out angrily. Beomgyu stuck his tongue out and laughed again. Mr Lau sighed and turned to to Taehyun. "Tell Mrs Yeong that they're in the office with Secretary Jung."

Taehyun nodded. "Yes, sir. Uhm… Mrs Yeong wants to see Choi Beomgyu as well. He hasn't handed in his history assessment."

Beomgyu gasped to himself. "Oh shit."

Mr Lau gave Beomgyu a disappointed. "Didn't expect less of him. Go on, little Choi."

Beomgyu glared at the teacher as he stood up. "I'm not little."

"Your brain sure is — compared to your brother, at least," Mr Lau said, sticking his tongue out childishly.

Beomgyu walked to the front of the class, ignoring Mr Lau's particularly hurtful words. He stood beside Taehyun, a playful smirk on his lips. Taehyun looked at the ground as he bowed at Mr Lau before leaving the classroom. Beomgyu followed the slightly smaller male while stuffing his hands into the pockets of his hoodie. "Liar."

"I had to say something," Taehyun mumbled in response. His cheeks were tinted bright red — an aspect Beomgyu found extremely adorable.

"Thanks for getting me out of class, TaeTae," Beomgyu smiled gently. He sidestepped to the boy, nudging him gently with his shoulder. "You're looking really pretty today. Why's that?"

Taehyun hummed, rolling his eyes slightly. "You always think I'm pretty. When am I ever going to be handsome?"

Beomgyu laughed a bit. "Oh, baby. You'll always be pretty to me." He slowly slid an arm around Taehyun's waist, pulling the boy to his side. "The prettiest."

Taehyun whined in embarrassment and gently shoved the boy away. "You're so embarrassing, what the heck…"

Beomgyu pouted slightly. "Ah, why? Let me hold you. I know you like it."

Taehyun looked at the blonde boy with a forlorn smile. "Yeah, but… we're not even dating."

Beomgyu felt a sting in his chest, but he kept up his image. "And? We don't need to date yet to be really close with each other."

Taehyun smiled a bit more genuinely before stepping close to the older. "You still like me?"

Beomgyu smirked slightly before leaning forward. "Always have."

Taehyun watched as the older male leaned forward, but he pulled away quickly, which disappointed Beomgyu greatly. "I need to go to the office. You need to go to Mrs Yeong for your assessment."

Beomgyu frowned. "Wait, I'm really in trouble?"

Taehyun giggled before walking away. "I hope we'll be in the same class next year."

Beomgyu clenched his fist as the brunette skipped off happily. "Don't say that! I'm going to pass high school!"

"Keep thinking that!"

With another boisterous laugh, Taehyun turned the corner. Beomgyu smiled softly, his fist slowly unclenching. He stuffed his hands into his hoodie as he continued walking. "God, I love him…"

"When are you going to ask him out?" Yeonjun demanded as he stuffed his face with more noodles.

"I can't," Beomgyu replied simply, blowing onto the hot noodles he held with his chopsticks. "Some people don't want certain situations to happen to most people."

"You're being very cryptic." Yeonjun frowned upon realizing that his noodles were finished. He glanced up at Beomgyu with a hopeful look in his eyes. The boy sighed, pushing his ramen cup forward to Yeonjun. The older grinned happily and continued eating.

"I can't really say," Beomgyu replied. "You know what I did in the past. I can't let him find out what a dick I was. Plus, he's really pretty. I don't want to lose him."

"Do you only think he's pretty?" Yeonjun scoffed, his mouth half full of noodles. "He has other traits too, you asshole. What if he's a talented… make-up artist or something? Maybe he can do some Jefree Star kind of shit."

Beomgyu smiled softly. "He does his own make-up in the morning."

Yeonjun raised his hands with wide eyes, almost dropping his chopsticks. "You're mad in love. This has never happened!"

Beomgyu groaned, pushing a hand through his hair in a frustrated manner. "I know. Kang Taehyun is ruining my life."

"He's turning you into something," Yeonjun said, digging up the last bit of noodles.

"Into what?"

"Something — you're becoming something," Yeonjun emphasized as he closed the empty noodle cup. "Like — things changed ever since you admitted that you like him."

Beomgyu hummed in thought. "Did I change…?"

Yeonjun looked at the empty noodle cups before looking up at Beomgyu. "Do you have money for more noodles?"
