On the planet of Vigilus, the war for the planet had ended. The Salamanders, Sisters of Battle and Cadian shock troops were patrolling the hive streets in small 1-2 man squads. They walked around, discussing what was going on. Many citizens stopped, as news of a structure appeared. Citizens ran to see it, right in the center of a group of 4 hab-blocks, when a winged beast, flew out, with a loud screech.

Soon, many men in armor, made of leather. They had xenos before them, and ordered them to attack. The citizens ran, attacked and killed.

"Guardsmen! Prepare for battle, gather at road Delta 9 facing east, 426th facing north, Delta 5 facing west and 422th facing south!" A commander ordered over a speaker system.

The sisters of battle guided citizens into churches, before preparing for battle. The Aduptus Arbatites worked were they could, fighting the enemy, making shelters for people. Salamander space marines attacked in random locations, as they fought few and far between.

The guardsmen walked forward, taking aim at xenos killing then with volleys of las gun fire. Each line moved forward, working to take back territory. After an hour, they had cleared a 1 mile perimeter around the structure. Decisions were made, a guard regiment would be sent into the structure, and investigate the situation, after a proper force was made.

The lord commander looked over his list of soldiers he had been given, and a time frame of work, of 3 years, 3 years to show progress of the 3 possible objectives.

1. Take Control by conquest
2. Peace by new leader
3. Making them join the imperium

The scout force was made up of:
4000 cadian shock troop guardsmen
100 salamander space marines
100 sisters of battle
100 adeptus mechanicus engineers
100 sentinels
50 tanks Leman Russ
20 Hydra flak tank
20 griffons
10 chimera transports

5000 total soldiers and vehicles crews all together. He would have to do recon, battle the enemy, gain local control and set up the base for the main invasion force.

Standing before the force, he looked over the army he had.

"I am Lord commander Markus Havock, we all remember the battle that waged 3 months ago. Today, we shall march through this structure and take the fight to the enemy! Load into vehicle, prepare for battle the moment we arrive! Glory to the emperor!" The lord commander yelled.

"Glory to the emperor!" Echoed though the lines of soldiers.

They loaded into transports, and crossed the threshold into a bright, vibrant landscape.
