Reflection and Reaction

Cut To Future

You finished reflecting on your life, you noticed that you did this often, but it was hard not to, when you had Harrison's goggles around your head

Sun: "What'ya doin' Y/N"

Y/N: "Not much"

You sat in Shade's cafeteria, you sat with Sun and Neptune, they weren't great friends but you made a habit of hanging out with all sorts of people

You finished talking with Neptune when you heard a loud 'thud'!

You looked behind you and saw one of the well known bullies, he almost knocked out a young boy, he was one of the shyer kids and wasn't the best fighter, he had a bloody nose and a bruised eye.

Not paying attention to what you were doing you stood up, you helped the boy up, noticing his long, rat tail

Boy: "T-Thanks"

Y/N: "Don't mention it"

As you were reaching for his hands you noticed the bully, he was much closer and was glaring at you. "Don't touch that Faunus Freak!"

Gaining what little confidence you had, you fought a stutter as you stood your ground, against this much larger Hunter

Y/N: "Y-You shouldn't do that, it's not right"

Bully: "You think I care, you're probably one of them yourself"

The bully reached for you, but instead of punching he grabs your goggles and throws them across the cafeteria, you felt angry but controlled it, knowing what your semblance was and how easy it was to manipulate, you instead ran to try and grab Harrison's goggles

You turned and began to run to get them, the bully then tripping you, and making you hit your jaw on the floor

You flipped off of your stomach and looked at him, your blood boiling each time he gave you a cocky smirk, he then raised his fist and decked you across the head, giving you a black eye in the process

You had enough, you stood up and were surprised as he made no effort to stop you, and you winded up your fist and hit him across the jaw. He instantly fell to the floor, groaning in pain as you wondered about how strong your punch was, but instead you saw a professor, and a look of disappointment as he said "This is the fifth time, Mr. L/N...headmaster's office"

You hung your head in shame as you walked away, you were probably going to get expelled, that guy caused so much trouble for your friends and you always suffered the consequences of him being a racist or just a generally bad person.

You walked through Shade's hall, the teacher began attacking you with things like 'You should know better!' and 'He hasn't done anything wrong to you!', you tuned her out as you soon made it to the Headmaster's office of Shade Academy

The professor opened the door and you walked into the room, it was a violet-tinted room, adorned with various trinkets and a long chair sits at the desk. At the desk sat Shade's headmaster, she was a tall, pale woman, with a bright smile and dressed in robes

The professor gestures for you to go in, which you do and sit across from her. You look at her, not breaking your stare at her

Headmaster: "Why are you here, Mr.L/N?"

Y/N: "For sticking up for other people"

Headmaster: "Not like this!"

Y/N: "Oh really?, tell the professors that don't care?"

Headmaster: "We have protocols for this"

Y/N: "And do you believe in these protocols, Headmaster?"

Headmaster: "And why do you ask?"

You reach your hand underneath the desk and focus your semblance, everything in the room begins floating. You activated a zero-gravity zone and the headmaster got lifted up.

Headmaster: "What do you seek to do?, Mr.L/N"

Y/N: "This."

You immediately drop the zone and see as everything falls back into place, and you see the Headmaster visibly wince as her chair hit something

Y/N: "I know, Headmaster"

The headmaster sighs and you see her tail pop out of her robes, it was a tabby cat's tail that waggled around the chair, a bruise mark from where the chair hit it

Headmaster: "Y/N, as a Faunus, I wish there were more people like you, but as your headmaster...you cannot stay at this school"

Y/N: "Alright, I understand"

You get up from the chair and begin to walk out, until...

Headmaster: "But that doesn't mean I can't transfer you, how does Vale sound?"
