Mahina was out for a walk in the park when she saw a familiar girl crying into her hands at the park. "Key?"
The girl whipped her head up and tried smiling but failed miserably. "Hi-i-i Mahina-a." She hiccuped. "What are you doing here?" She asked the idol.
"Just taking a walk? What about you? I thought you would've been at JYP." She replied in concern.
This caused Key to keep crying. "I was on a s-su-survival show and I got eliminated." She sniffed.
Mahina awkwardly sat next to Key and unlatched something from her wrist. It was a small black bracelet. She grabbed Key's hand and pressed the object into her hand. Key had given it to her at the first NCT Dream meet a little over a year ago.
Key wiped her eyes with her sleeves before staring at the object, her eyes widening. "But-"
Mahina held up her hand and interrupted her. "You said to give it back if you ever got big-"
Key just said, "I didn't debut. I got eliminated." She looked down ashamed.
Mahina shook her head. "You said if you got big. Being on whatever survival show you went on is big. You earned it. It doesn't matter if you made it all the way. You still earned this bracelet back."
Key started weeping again. "T-th-thank you." Mahina just rubbed the girl's shoulder until they had to part ways.
Little did Key know, she'd get her second chance.
