Trapped

I followed you
Blindly.
Trusting in you fully
That you would protect me.
But you didn't.
You stabbed me
Twisting the knife
In my back.
I'm trapped
Bleeding
And there is no escape.
You were once my friend
Now you are my kidnapper.
I am hostage
In the cage
Punching, kicking,
Screaming for help.
A single voice
Answers my call.
Sweet, delicate,
Drifting from the hall.
Coming to save me,
Patch my wounds,
Lift my spirits.
You remind me of
Pineapples
Giraffes
Rolling hills
Kindness
Smiles
Music, flowing.
Yellow
Flowers
Open fields.
You are good, and will
Never leave my side.
Finally,
I have
A friend.
Thank you
For saving me.
