As I placed the end of the gun on my chest, I heard the door open. "RIPTIDE!" Blade yells, horrified. He also has Ash with him. Ash was holding a baby deer and I gasped. They both bolt to me and Blade takes the gun from me. "Don't shoot yourself. Just don't." He said and stood me up again.
"Riptide. I brought you a friend." Ash smiled at me and set the terrified but cute baby deer in my arms. I cooed to it and cradled it. Blade let me set it down and I watched it prance all around. It was the cutest thing. But then, Ash was told to release it back into the wild, so he did. I was so sad to see it go.
I clung to Blade's shirt, nearly pulling it off, while trying not to cry again. "I know. Its ok baby girl." Blade said when he looked at my trembling lips. "Sir.. uh? Is she your pet now?" Hero had somehow appeared and scared the ever-loving shit out of me. "Yes., she is. You get a break this time." Blade said. I am now Blade's pet. I feel a bit safer now.
(Time skip)
Blade and I appear at his father's house. Summer, his fiancé, greets him with a hug and me with a sad look.
"Aww hi there." She coos to me and crouches to my height. I'm not that short but, compared to a lot of them, I'm tiny. I whimper and retreat behind Blade.
"No Riptide." Blade simply replies and nudges me from hiding.
"No!" I cry. Summer understands why I'm scared.
It's a new place with new people, and I'm not in the wild.
"She's my pet now. I'm gonna cuddle her for a while." Blade looked to Summer. Summer nodded,
"That's good. I'll be there in a a bit. I need to water my garden." She said and waved to me one last time before walking off. I looked after Summer and Blade had to bump my leash a bit to get me to regain focus. I follow Blade inside and whimper loudly.
"Riptide its ok." Blade sighs. I know he's getting impatient with me and I feel bad. If I were dead, he wouldn't have to deal with me. He led me to a room, and I looked around. This room is much bigger than the rooms at the tall building.
"C'mon hop in the bed." He says to me as he leads me to the massive bed. I shake my head wildly and back away. "No Riptide. The bed isn't going to hurt you." Blade says and jerks my leash a bit. I scream and fall onto the bed.
"NO! NO!" I scream. I can't take it. I jump off the bed but Blade catches me and lays me down. He lays with me and holds me as I scream and fight.
After a while he had enough. "RIPTIDE THAT'S ENOUGH! THE BED, PILLOWS, AND BLANKETS WON'T HURT YOU; NOR WILL SUMMER OR ANYONE ELSE OKAY?! SO CALM DOWN!" He yelled at me. I flinched, winced and scrambled away. Once he realized what he had done, his face fell. "Sorry Riptide.. I'm just on a short fuse.. Come here." He calms down. I keep scrambling away and cry. I don't like yelling anymore..
"Come here pumpkin." He lifts me onto his lap and braids a few clumps of my hair. I keep my head lowered as I remember all the fun times in the wild. I didn't know Blade could hear and see my thoughts.
Flashback
"Tag!" I laughed and tagged the buck of the deer herd. The buck found me and befriended me. I played with his and the doe's fawns. They were so cute. I sat amongst the trees, a four year old, and played with the fawns who were younger than I. I laugh and squeal. The herd of deer and I play tag, which I taught them.
Flashback Ends
Blade begins to cry. "B-Blade?" I ask him. He wraps his arms tightly around me, "Oh Riptide what have I done to you?!" He sobs. He saw my memories.. I cry a bit and bury myself into him. "Oh Riptide I'm so sorry for taking away your wild life. My precious baby girl." He cried some more. I nuzzled his chest softly to calm him down and he rocks me in his arms. "Da-daddy.." I whimper. Blade pauses for a moment, completely still and quiet, then he nods. "Yes baby girl?" He replies. "Thank you for saving my life." I whisper. He smiles lightly and holds me as I fall asleep in his arms.
