Chapter 2

<Faith's POV>

I have nothing to do. Ugh. I go to my backpack and pull out a book and begin to read. It's so nice to read without contacts! The book i'm reading is about ancient sorcerers! I love to read!

After about an hour and a half I hear footsteps. NOO!! I was on the best part! I grab a potion of invisibility and drink. I fly over the edge and see a boy my age climbing towards me. WHAT DO I DO!!?? I dive down towards him and fly around him. An evil smile spreads across my face.

"Hey!" I say, still invisible and flying around him and he stumbles

"Who's there!?" he shouts

"Oh, no one really.." I say

"Tell me!" He screams

"I'm afraid if I told you, you'd just kill me." I say calmly "Who are you?" I ask

"E-evan.. Why would I kill you?" He asks

"Well, Evan, I guess it wouldn't hurt to tell you my name.. My name is Faith." I say

"Now why would I kill you?" He asks once more

"You just would. I shall reveal myself. Continue to climb please." I say and fly to my cave and drink some milk. I quickly put in my contacts. He reaches the top

"Hey! Why were you trying to scare me?!" Evan asks

"Cause why not?" I say with a laugh

"Cause I could have fallen! How were you making it seem like your voice was around me? That was cool!" Evan asks

"Um.. I just kinda did." I reply unconvincingly

"Hmm... Why do you live out here?" He asks

"I have no reason to live in town I guess. Why are you all the way out here?" I ask in response

"I heard this place was an old mine and thought they might have missed something valuable." He says

"Cool..." I say and pick up my book and sit back down and read. I look up

"Do you need anything before you continue?" I ask nicely

"No not really.." Evan responds and begins to climb once more.

Hours pass and I decide to lay down an extra bed in case Evan comes down and needs a place to rest. I lay down in  my bed and sleep.

I awake to see that Evan did indeed take advantage of the extra bed and I get up. I hear more rustling coming from who knows where. I girl my age emerges into the room with purple eyes...

"Hi..." I say nervously. Some of us are nice than others.. From the appearance of the girl she looked like a fire one and they are the most dangerous

"Hello friend." She says and I remember I don't have my contacts in

"My name is Faith. Your's?" I ask

"Autumn. Who's the boy?" she asks

"Just a traveler. He's gonna leave soon i'm sure." I reply

"You should be careful though.. What's your gift?" Autumn asks and I twitch at the word gift

"Enchantment."  I replied simply keeping my flying a secret "Yours?"

"Fire." Autumn says

<Evan's POV>

I head back down to Faith's cave after an unsuccessful trip. I see she down an extra bed for me so I sleep.

I become slightly more awake to the sound of Faith and someone else talking. I open my eyes and see they both have purple eyes.. They both are Naik..
