~Chapter 2~

I dropped next to Ladybug, who peeked out from behind a car.

"Nice to see you, Milady."

"You sure took your time, kitty."

I peeked out with her and saw the victim walking away from us.

"The Akuma is in her wallet, I just can't figure out how to get it."

"Did you try your Lucky Charm?"

"Not yet, I was waiting for you to show up."

I smirked at that, then looked back at the victim. A group of civilians came around the corner, then froze when they saw the villain.

"I am the Biller! Give me all of your money or you'll work to earn it!"

Many of the people stumbled for their pockets or purses while others stood still.

"You won't be paying me? Fine, then! I'll make you!"

She pointed her finger at those who'd frozen and they jumped to work, running to find any money they could. The others let their wallets fall to the ground as they backed away. The Biller nodded as the bills, cards, and change flew toward her.

"Well, that's nice to know," I muttered.

Ladybug tightened her grip on her yoyo, then whispered,

"Lucky Charm!"

A ribbon fell to her hand, and she looked at it, confused.

"Well, let's tie this up and get it over with."

She shook her head, then her eyes lit up.

"Cat, that's brilliant!"

She whispered her plan into my ear and I nodded.

"Right."

She handed me the ribbon, and I snuck out from behind the car. I jumped behind another as Ladybug followed. We snuck up behind the Biller who was standing still as she continued to take the money. I looked at Ladybug, who nodded. She swung across the street and landed in front of the villain.

"Ah, Ladybug! You've come to pay me now?"

"That's right, Biller."

She held up her yoyo and frowned.

"Cat Noir is on his way, are you sure you don't want to wait for him?"

The Biller paused to think, then smiled.

"That's a wonderful idea! Then you both can repay your rudeness with your miraculous! I'll just need to lock you up to make sure you don't run away-"

"Oh no, I'll just sit here. You can keep an eye on me, can't you?"

Ladybug sat on the ground, her legs crossed. The Biller frowned, but nodded and went with it, keeping her eyes on Ladybug. I snuck out from behind the car, the ribbon in my hands. I stood right behind the Biller as Ladybug casually talked with her.

"So, Biller, how come you were Akumatized?"

"Ugh, I don't want to relive that again. I was just trying to buy groceries, but they wouldn't take my money! It was so rude! They wouldn't even let me use a card!"

Ladybug covered her mouth.

"Oh, that is rude! What did you do?"

"I went back after Hawkmoth gave me these powers and punished them."

Ladybug nodded, and a purple butterfly appeared over the Biller's face. At that moment, I tied the ribbon over her eyes and stole her wallet. She screamed in shock and I tossed the wallet to Ladybug. She broke it, setting the Akuma and the Biller free. I took the ribbon as the Akuma was purified, then Ladybug took the ribbon.

"Miraculous ladybug!"

The magical ladybugs flew over everything, returning it back to normal. Ladybug's earrings beeped, and she frowned.

"Cat Noir, can you take care of her? I have to get going."

"Anything for you, Milady."

I held my fist out, and she giggled.

"Pound it!"

Ladybug waved, then pulled out her yoyo and swung away. I turned back to the victim who sat on the ground, confused.

"Cat Noir? What- What happened to me?" she asked.

"You were Akumatized. But don't worry, everything's okay now. I'll help you home."

"Oh, thank you, Cat Noir!"

I smiled as I helped her to her feet, then lifted her and carried her home. Half an hour later I swung into my room and Plagg was released from my ring. He collapsed in my hands and I grabbed a piece of Camembert. He quickly gulped it down, then sighed.

"Let's get to bed, Plagg. It's been a long night," I yawned.

"I couldn't agree more."

I changed into my pajamas, then climbed into bed. Plagg curled up next to my head, and he purred.

"'Night, Plagg."

"Goodnight, Adrien."
