The color from Shawn's face drained as he looked at the man with his mouth open. His whole body went stiff and you had never seen anyone change moods that quickly. ''What did you say?'' Shawn let go of your hand and tilted his head to face the middle-aged man, the cluelessness on Shawn's face being replaced with pure anger. ''I see you continue here what you left off at home.'' ''Alright man, that's enough.'' ''She's the latest? Nice,'' the man said scaling you up and down with a disgusting smirk making you extremely uncomfortable. ''Watch it,'' Shawn warned sternly as his hands on the table clenched into fists the knuckles quickly turning white. ''No need to get worked up. Just curious if the girls in Europe are, you know, easier? I mean, she-'' Shawn stood up making your drink on the table spill everywhere causing you to push your chair further away as a reflex. ''Don't you dare finish that sentence.'' That's when the man started snapping pictures as it was exactly his plan all along to make him all heated for some good shots. ''Come on.'' Shawn grabbed your hand and started pulling you behind him you barely getting up from the seat. You were long gone already but still could hear fading shouts coming behind you. ''Hotel already? Must be some kind of a record!'' You hadn't yet seen Shawn this full of emotion. He always seemed so careful about what he said or did so him throwing a tantrum at a paparazzi definitely was a new side of him. This was also your first time seeing him having to deal with paparazzi in the first place and this particular was not a very pleasant one. You were too shocked and afraid to say anything or stop and think about what the man had said and why. You were just jogging behind him dumbfounded as Shawn took giant leaps forward. After six minutes of basically running in complete silence, you finally reached the concert venue. At the door, Shawn let go of your hand and rushed inside leaving you to catch your breath. You leaned against your knees taking deep breaths this being the first time you had ran since third grade. After you could breathe without sounding like running a marathon, you ran after Shawn passing Andrew, Jake and some other people you couldn't recognize in the rush. ''(Y/N)!'' Andrew shouted after you making you choose between running after Shawn or stopping for Andrew and explaining what had happened. ''Yeah?'' You decided to let Shawn be by himself for a second. He probably wanted that too. ''What the hell is happening?'' Andrew walked to you, Jake by his side. ''Shawn was just rushing past us-'' ''There was a small incident with paparazzi.'' ''By the look on his face, I don't think it was that small. What happened?'' Andrew asked looking more serious you had ever seen him as Brian, Geoff and the rest of the band slowly were gathering around you as well concerned about what had happened. ''The man just got under his skin a little bit, that's all. But we got out of there in like five seconds. It was nothing.'' It wasn't nothing. You just tried to not make others too worried. You thought you could handle it by yourself. ''What did he exactly say?'' Brian asked already having a pretty good hunch. ''Just something about his 'habits' from back home and- just- I don't know. I really should go check up on him,'' you squinted your eyes shut and shook your head a little overwhelmed by everyone gathering around and interrogating you with stern faces. ''I'm gonna go now.'' You turned around and left the guys exchanging expressions at each other looking as in they were not surprised – almost as they were expecting this. That's when you heard Geoff yelling after you ''(Y/N), we need to talk. The sooner the better.'' You looked over your shoulder frowning your eyebrows at Geoff in annoyance. Like you didn't have more important things to do at the moment. As you made your way towards Shawn's dressing room, you had time to think about the incident. ''Same habits, different continent. She's the latest?'' What habits was he talking about? What did he mean when he asked if I was the latest? You always assumed Shawn probably has had girlfriends in the past. Lots of them, actually – he is a superstar after all. So that would explain the ''Is she the latest,'' question but it doesn't make sense why he got that fierce and reacted so strongly. Did he think you would be mad at him for having exes? You saw the door of Shawn's dressing room being cracked open so you peeked your head in to see what the situation was. To be honest, you wouldn't have been surprised if you had seen things flying in the air based on how furious he was in the café. But what you actually saw was Shawn sitting on the couch with his elbows leaning against his knees and head resting in the depths of his palms. No items flying around the room, just an opened glass bottle standing on the side table. But that you didn't see having your full focus on Shawn. You walked next to him and sat down putting your chin on top of his shoulder and your hand over his thigh. ''I'm so sorry,'' Shawn mumbled against his hands. ''Stop. It wasn't your fault.'' You kissed his shoulder assuring you weren't mad in any way. How could you? He didn't do anything wrong. ''It was,'' he said so quietly it was impossible for you to hear it. He had made you look like one of his one-night stands with nothing but his reputation. For that he was sorry. After a while of your cheek resting on his shoulder, he sat up straight and looked deep into your eyes. ''You didn't deserve to be in the middle of that.'' ''I'm fine, Shawn. If having you means things like that come with it, then be it.''
