he was there like he promised
sitting on the rooftop waiting for me
i walked over
my feet hardly making any noise
i hugged him hard
for the fear he would disappear
wrapped in my embrace
i could hear his heart beat a steady rhythm
feel his chest rise and fall
we stayed like
still in the moment

he turned around
i looked into his eyes and could see a look of distress
i asked him, what's wrong
"nothing" he replied
i nodded
i decided to sit next to him
i noticed how different his usually golden skin
looked in the moonlight
his dark eyes looked the colour of mahogany
his silver hair shining like a billion stars
his clear skin looking smooth and pale
he was gorgeous

we sat like that for ours
finding comfort in our silence
and the bustling streets below us
peaceful it was in the moonlight.
