I've been gone for about 2 years now. It's been a very difficult journey. I was trapped in a cage for half almost a year. Baron told me that he had taken one of my feathers and drenched it with blood and sent it back home to Alma. That was a year ago. The fact that I'm now lose from the cage, and the fact that my family probably thinks I'm dead is horrible. I had sent a letter to my little sister Alice, explaining to meet me at Alma's loop, or rather inside at the house. I hadn't seen her in years. I needed to know she was safe at least.

Ever since I got lose from Baron, I had to change my appearance so he wouldn't find me again. I colored my hair brown, cut it to my shoulders. Since when I was trapped in the cage I didn't eat whatever he gave me, I was rather thin now. I hadn't slept in forever which was the reason for the bags under my eyes. I had to sew my clothes tighter around my body for it to fit. All the scars left on my body, burn marks. I definitely didn't look recognizable, but it was worth a try at least.

It was late when I arrived to the loop. I was tired and hungry and I just needed a hug from the people I loved. Before I entered the loop, I made sure no one was around. As I entered I felt the heat filling my body and the water drenching me. I loved the rain. I stood there for quite some time before I decided to move again. As I reached the house I saw someone standing at the door, they had just knocked on the big, wooden door of the children's home. The door opened and there she was. Miss Alma Lefay Peregrine. Looking as beautiful as ever. I hid behind a tree as I watched them both.

"Alice? What are you doing here?" Alma closed the door behind her as she stepped outside. "I got a letter from Y/N a few days ago. Saying to meet her here" Alice held the letter in her hand, showing it to Alma. "Th-that's impossible Alice. She's dead" Alma's smile had dropped as she spoke. "Dead? Then how did she send me this letter? It's her handwriting!" She showed Alma the letter and Alma read through it. Agreeing with Alice. I wanted to go closer, so I decided to turn into my bird form. However it didn't really work out. As I tried to jump into the air I slipped. I looked up from the ground and saw Alma's face shift up.

She told Alice to go inside and fetch her crossbow. Alice went inside after giving her the crossbow and closed the door behind her. I saw Alma slowly walk down the stone stairs and towards me. I got up and hid behind the tree. Despite knowing how desperate I was to just run and hug her, I knew she wouldn't recognize me. I heard her come closer to a pint where u couldn't hold it anymore. I stepped out and saw her pointing the crossbow at me with her famous death glare.

"Who are you and how did you find my loop" I held up my hands in defense and walked towards her. "Stay back! It I will shot!" I stopped where I was and looked at her. "You look gorgeous" she let out a chuckle. "That won't save you, now tell me who you are" "if you let down that crossbow of yours" I pointed to it. She let out a snort and slowly pulled it down. "Before I say anything. Do you know anyone named Y/N Y/L/N?"

She starred at me. "Why would you wanna know?" I took a step closer, she didn't move. "Just wanna know what happened to the girl" Alma's eyes turned to the ground. "She died trying to save us all" I could see the pain in her eyes as she spoke. "Did she really? What did she look like?" She gave me a confused look. "She was tall, beautiful, kind and the most loving person I've ever meet" I couldn't help but smile. "Would you do anything to see her again?" She nodded. Her eyes starring at me. "if I told you I were her, would you believe me?" She let out a laugh. "Never, you look nothing like her" I stepped closer to her and leant in to whisper in her ear,

"you really need to learn how to recognize people Lefay, look at my arm" I rolled up my sleeve where I had a tattoo that was of her name. Her grip on my arm tightened and her talons started to dig in on my skin. She turned me around and looked me in the eye. "Tell me something only Y/N would know" her hands shaking.

"je veux dire le monde pour toi et tu aimes quand je joue du piano" her face lit up, even in the dark her smile would lit up in the dark. Her arms flew around me.

"My dear god, is it really you?" Her hands held my cheeks as tears were flowing down from my eyes. I nodded my head multiple times. She leant and let my lips meet hers. The kiss was long and the feeling of missing your other half was there. She broke apart and let her eyes travel up and down on me. "My dear, what's has he done to you?" I took ahold of her hand and kissed it. I walked with her to the door and opened it. As I walked inside I let out a laugh, the feeling of being home was unreal.

"Children! Your funny mom is back in the house!" I heard Alma laugh behind me. I heard footsteps coming towards me and before I knew it, I was attacked with hugs from almost every child in the house. The feeling of being home m, the feeling of being surrounded by people you love, was the best feeling in the world.

A/N: so, hello again. I'm gonna rewrite this whole story, except for this chapter. I cringe when I read the other parts so I decided it was time to actually put some time into this and put some emotions in it. I know it's been very long since I've updated but it's mostly because of my metal health. It's not going great and I'm very stressed about school too. I have a 3 week break soon so hopefully I can update more or something, who knows? But I hope you can respect that my metal health isn't the best right now and that you would bare with me if it takes forever for me to update something! But thanks anyways!
