- Tony -
Weeks passed, and Tony and Strange kept seeing each other every day, growing fonder of each other every day, and Tony growing more frustrated as well: Strange still hadn't satisfied the billionaire who was becoming more restless due to almost getting what he wanted. Nonetheless, the heartbreak he felt for Steve and Peter faded over time, Strange enabling him to heal and Tony stopped caring about Thanos. What happened happened, and although the leftover avengers had devised a plan to defeat Thanos they called the Thanus Theory, he had Strange, and that was all he needed to be fulfilled.
Tony was sitting in a bookstore, drinking coffee and watching Strange excitedly search through the shelves. Tony loved seeing his lover so giddy, it was endearing to him. Strange walked back to the table with two books. He sat next to Tony and handed him Huckleberry Finn. "Read this one, you'll relate to him." Said Strange snarkily.
"You should read the scarlet letter since you like prolonging the inevitable." Said Tony undressing Stephen with his eyes. The wizard only blushed heavily and coughed into his hands. Although the doctor had yet to satisfy Tony's... cravings, a flustered Strange was enough to sate the billionaire while he waited.
"I have no clue what you're," Stephen paused. Tony only looked at him, confused. "No clue what I'm..." Tony replied until Strange pointed at the window in the front of the shop. Outside all that could be seen was dust flying around. The same dust that those decimated by Thanos turned into. Only this time it was congregating and reforming those lost so long ago. Strange stood and walked to the front of the shop, dragging Tony by the hand with him. They stood there watching, all around were people reappearing, disoriented, and searching for loved ones. Strange turned to face Tony and kissed him, while holding his hips, squeezing them together.
A blinding light suddenly appeared next to them, bright enough to go straight through their closed eyelids. 'It's probably Thor, coming to share the good news.' However, Tony didn't turn around, Strange rarely got this cutesy in public, and he wasn't gonna let this go to waste.
"Tony?" Said a man behind Tony, pain in their voice.
Tony turned around and froze. It was Steve. The blond just stood there, staring at the two, heartbroken.
"You didn't even try to undo what he did? Did I mean that little to you?" Exclaimed Steve, eyes begging for an answer. Tony didn't know what to say, he just stared at the broken captain.
"I'-
"Let's go." Said Thor, quickly grabbing Steve and opening the bifrost. Tony only stood there, tense and on the verge of tears. Stephen noticed and decided that they should leave as well, portaling them back to the tower.
- Dr. Strange -
Strange laid back on the couch in the avenger's common room, Tony cuddled into him crying. All Strange could do to help Tony upset was be there with him, so he did just that, embracing him tightly and kissing him on the forehead.
- Thor -
Thor had taken Steve to the front of an ice cream shop. ' The spider-boy did say that ice cream made humans feel better right.'
"Why are we here?" Asked Steve, heartbreak turned into anger.
"I've been told that ice cream helps upset humans feel better." Spoke Thor, confidently. Steve glared at Thor but walked into the establishment nonetheless. Thor sat smiling widely with his milkshake, noticing that Steve had cooled down significantly since he began drinking his. Steve continued glaring at him, although now he just didn't want to admit that Thor was right.
"Fine!" Said Steve. "The shake did help."
Thor's confidence and grin grew.
"But fuck Tony Stark." Said Steve, causing Thor to deflate a bit.
"To be fair, you were gone for six months, captain." Spoke Thor, trying to calm Steve's aggression. The captain immediately turned red, and Thor regretted everything. Thor braced himself for the fury, but a blonde woman saved him.
"No, he's right, fuck Tony Stark." Spoke the mysterious.
"Never thought I'd hear you defending me." Responded Steve. The woman looked familiar, but Thor couldn't pin down who she was.
"I never hated you, just him. Plus I knew you'd eventually realize what he is." Said the woman.
Thor only sat there awkwardly as he witnessed the bashing of one of his closest friends.
"So how long, did he string you along for?" Asked the woman. 'She had also dated Tony who was she?' Thor stared at her intensely, trying to figure it out. 'Oh, that woman Paprika or whatever.'
"Three years." Said Steve, full of resentment.
"Really, we had broken up like two years ago." Asked Pepper, confused.
"Oh wait, sorry," responded Steve awkwardly. "I meant two years."
"So he moved on to his next victim as soon as we broke up? What an ass." Growled Pepper.
- Tony -
"He's right, you know, I didn't even try." Spoke Tony breaking the silence they had been laying in for so long.
"Love, you know that's not true, you were too broken by what Thanos had done to even attempt it." Responded Strange, still cradling the smaller man in his arms.
"You're a wonderful soul, it's why I love you." Said Strange and kissed his love one last time on the forehead.
