your daughter Bandit has been begging for a cat for a while now but my husband Gerard is allergic, one night we were in bed and the topic came up
"So is bandit still wanting that cat" Gerard Asks tiredly
"Yea why" I ask setting my book down and getting on my side to talk to him.
"Well tomorrow I'm going to get a shot so she can get off our asses about the cat" he says giggling outa excitement
"You're such a good dad Gee" you say rubbing his shoulder
"And your a good mono he says kisses me before going to bed.
The next morning we took bandit to school and went to the doctors to get Gerard the shot.
In the office we were waiting patiently for the doctor Gerard looked at me with fear in his eyes
"Hun calm down" I say rubbing his shoulder to calm him down
"I can't you know I hate needles remember when you got the epidural when bandit was born and I was in tears"
You laughed remembering that moment
"yes but you'll be fine-"
The doctor walked in and five minutes later we walked out of the office with Gerard looking like a mess
We went to the shelter to get and (whatever cat you want) and we brought it home.
Later bandit got home and saw a box
"Mom what is that? and why does dad look bad" She asks "hey that's mean" Gerard says sarcastically "open it and see" you say
Bandit opens the box and starts to cry
"Oh my god a cat but I thought dad was allergic oh-" she realizes why Gerard looks bad
You all laugh.
