Chapter 5

Tony's POV
After the... incident... with Thalia, we ate lunch like nothing happened. Obviously something happened, but we just don't speak of it. "So, what now, since you guys finally finished your fight?" I looked towards Peter who had spoke. I sighed, "Can we just, you know, relax for once?" Before anyone could answer I got my answer.
"Sir, there's a group of teens walking through the streets with weapons. They are all girls."
Thalia smirked at us, "Looks like my old job has found it's way back." I looked at her quizzically, "Old job??" Percy slapped Thalia lightly, "Pinecone Face! We can't go around telling people what we do!!" She glared at Percy for a bit before shrugging, "Do you not remember telling them what we are?" Percy looked at her stupidly for a minute before a look of realization dawned on his face, "Oh yeah, completely forgot, continue." Thalia rolled her eyes once more and then turned, "The Hunters of Artemis are here and probably looking for candidates. I kinda wanna go say hi, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to face them." Percy looked insulted, "We are not going to say hi to Artemis and her Hunt. Don't you remember that we don't talk about that part of our life anymore. Also! Artemis might try and convince you to become her second in command again!"
Now Thalia looked furious, "Why do you get to make all the decisions Percy! Why can't I make a choice for once!" Percy shot back with a glared, "I'm making the decisions! Do you not remember you acting like you made all the decisions! I'm older than both of you so there's a fair reason for me to make the choice." Thalia slapped him, "Are you kidding me! Yeah I look 15 but technically if I had aged normally I would be 23 right now! I'm older than you!" I gasped, since when was Thalia in her twenties?
Nico pushed the fuming daughter of Zeus and son of Posiedon apart, "Shut it! I'm older than both of you! But I was stuck in the Lotus Hotel! Technically I would be like 90 years old, so technically i should be the one making decisions!" Thalia and Percy bot turned to Nico, "Shut up Death Breath, you look and act 14!" Nico pointed at Thalia, "Same goes for you Thals, you look and act 15, so you are 15. I'm siding with Percy. He's the oldest."
I wave my hands through the air, I'm very confused, "What the fuck is going on, since when were you 20 Thalia and Nico how are you 90!" I point my finger at said people. "I got stuck in a place that time doesn't move normally so I spent like 80 years there, Thalia, when she was 12, was turned into a pine tree right before she died and then when she became not a pine tree she went on a quest blah blah blah and got asked to be the second in command of the Hunters of Artemis, she accepted and was turned into immortal, so for the past few years she has been 15 and 364 days old, her birthday hasn't passed yet so she hasn't turned 16 yet. You should know this didn't you read the books?" I shrugged, "I may or may not have glanced over it, but that doesn't matter, I would like to meet those Hunters your talking about." Percy sighed very loudly, "I guess there's no getting out of it."

Thalia's POV
"Okay, now that we are here, I'm not sure if I'm ready to face them." Percy patted me on the back, "You'll be fine Thals, remember most of the people you knew are dead," Percy winced, "that sounded really bad, I meant that most of the people in the Hunt now won't know you." Percy winced again, "That sounded even worse." I chuckled, trust Percy to make a bad comment but make it funny. "I think I can do it now."
We walked towards the Hunt, "We come in peace!" Percy shouted out. Again give it to Percy to say something stupid. Every Hunter pulled out their bow and aimed at us, I decided they should know it was me, "Woah, didn't know you guys would try and impale your former second in command here!" One of the girls stepped forward, "We have never seen you in this Hunt, we have not heard of you. How do we know you are not lying?" I sighed they were always suspicious, "How about this. my name is Thalia Grace former second command of the Hunters of Artemis, any who do not believe me can shoot a single arrow at me." The girl stepped back in shock but quickly aimed her bow at me. I gestured for the Avengers and Percy and Nico to step away from me so they didn't get hurt. I then gestured for the Hunters to fire. They did, and they all expected to see me dead on the ground with many arrows going through me. Jokes on them! I pulled out my Hunter bow and fired about 50 arrows simultaneously and destroyed all the arrows coming for me. Percy and Nico walked up to me, "That's my favourite cousin for you!" Percy patted me on the back then slung his arm around my shoulder, "Shut up Kelp Head." The girl who challenged me before knelt immedietly, "I'm terribly sorry! We did not know it was you Leiutenant Grace. I am Atalanta the new second in command after you. I will gladly step down from the position so you may step back into your roll."
"Stand up, I am not coming back to the Hunt, I merely wanted to see how it has been holding up after the heavy loss we had suffered in the Giant War. I wish to talk to Artemis though." I held back a sob when I mentioned the losses, Atalanta stood and gestured for us to follow. As we walked into the camp the Hunters had set up I heard whispers floating around.
"There's no way that is the famed Thalia Grace!"
"Why is she hanging around boys?"
"Thalia Grace would never stick around those useless boys."
I whipped around to face all of them, "You still doubt me? Maybe the only way to make you see that I am who I say I am is for Artemis to see me. Also, you should mind what you say about my cousins, since they are Percy Jackson and Nico Di'Angelo, the only two boys Artemis has ever found respect for." That shut then up. Before I could rant more though Artemis appeared, "Why have you called me Atalanta?" She turned and saw me, a gasp escaped her lips, "Thalia! Your alive!" That then caused many of the Hunters to gasp. "Yeah I'm here M'lady, though your new Hunters thought I was a liar and shot at me. They also insulted Percy and Nico and called them useless boys"
I saw the fury in Artemis' eyes before she yelled, "You shot at Thalia! What made you see fit to do so? You also insulted the two boys I respect the most! How dare you!" One brave but stupid soul decided to answer, "Why would the famous Thalia Grace hang out with boys, if she is a Hunter would she not have killed them for even touching her! Look at that! That boy has his arm around her!" I laugh, she really was pulling at strings now, "Calm, M'lady, I can handle them perfectly fine," Artemis backed down, much to the Hunters surprise, "What's your name?" The Hunter I was talking to looked miffed, "It's Phoebe." I choked back another sob, I really miss Phoebe, "Well Phoebe, this boy hanging off my shoulder is Percy Jackson, the bane of Gaea, I'm sure you would be no challenge if he were to fight you. He is also my cousin and again one of the only two males Artemis approves of." Finishing my little speech I turned to Artemis, "M'lady I came to see how you and your Hunters fair after the heavy losses, including Atalanta and Phoebe." Artemis' eyes teared up, the original Atalanta and Phoebe had died fighting and protecting Camp Half-Blood during the war. The new Atalanta and Phoebe looked confused, "What are you talking about, we are right here." Phoebe snootily said. Artemis turned her glare to Phoebe, "I had thought since you were named after one of the great Hunters who died in the War you would be similar to her. It was wrong of me to think that, Phoebe you are hereby removed from the Hunt, should you show your face anywhere near us again we will aim to kill." There was a bright flash and Phoebe dropped to her knees, "Artemis-" I cut her off, "You have no right to call her that, to you it should and will always be M'lady." I icily spoke to her then turned to Artemis, "It is no fault of yours M'lady, I would have also thought along the same lines." She nodded then turned to Atalanta, "Obviously I was right about one of them." I nodded and laughed. I heard a cough from behind me, "Shit! Completely forgot you guys! Um, everyone meet the Avengers, the mortal superheroes." Artemis finally turned and acknowledged them, she snorted when she saw a bunch of men and only one woman, then she saw Thor, "Ah, Thor, how is Asgard doing?" He nodded to her, "It is doing well Lady Artemis and how might you be?" She simply said, "I've had better days."
We talked with the Hunt for a few hours before they had to go, I said goodbye to Artemis and then we left as well.
"I wish I could shoot as well as them." I heard Clint's wishful voice, "It's hard to compete with people who have had over a millenia to practice." He stopped and looked at me, "Sometimes I forget that they were immortal." I shrugged, "Most do, I did when I became a Hunter, it was only after I became not a Hunter that I realized I had been 15 for two or three years."
He nodded and we continued back to the tower.
