Steve was at a party with the other Avengers and then he met Carol. He'd never felt anything so strong then when he saw her. They danced and laughed and he helped her with an issue after to many drinks*

*They we're both hammered, but when Carol smiled at him he felt like ha hadn't ever touched alcohol in his life. She wanted him to stay with her, but Steve just thought she had to many and it was messing with her mind*

For a minute, I was stone-cold sober

*Steve regretted not telling her how he felt that night, but he didn't know that love at first site was real. Carol might've been long gone by now, but he was determined to be by her again*
