Amba and Salva were secretly in love. Without knowing this Bhishma brings the three sisters to his kingdom to get them married to Vichitravirya. But after knowing her love for Salva king, Bhisma sends her to his kingdom. But Salva refuses to accept her. Though Amba was betrayed by her lover, Bhishma, and her father, she thinks that Bhishma is the culprit. She orders Bhishma to marry her. But he refuses to the order abruptly due to his owe. Then she goes and asks for justice to Parasuramar, the guru of Bhishma. But Parashurama refuses to help. Then parashurama and Bhishma fight for years but in vain....Later Lord Shiva ends this controversy by giving a promise to Amba that in her next Jenma she will be the cause of Bhishma's death...
