Ready? Let's go.
"You're going down!" Peter yelled playfully as he ran at Bucky. Bucky dodged his punch and tried to flip Peter over, which failed due to Peter's arm blocking Bucky's.
"Sure, bug boy," Bucky challenged, letting out a laugh.
"Spider's aren't bugs!"
"Yeah, but they're still easy to squash."
Peter's eyes narrowed. "Not this Spider."
Peter pinned Bucky's vibranium arm behind his back and held him for a moment before Bucky broke free of the hold. He grabbed Peter's leg and pulled it out from under him, sending the teen to the floor. Bucky dove down and pinned Peter, but Peter managed to slip out of his grasp and push his opponent on his back. He pinned Bucky, but upon seeing that he could get away, he flipped the war veteran over his head to hold him in a more secure position, putting him close to victory.
Then, the match was cut short when Natasha walked through the side door.
"Boys, Tony needs you upstairs," she instructed.
"In a minute, Nat,"Bucky whined, struggling to get out of his trapped position.
"Okay, Auntie Tasha. I think I won, anyway." Peter smirked slyly at Bucky, who finally gave in and admitted defeat. He was still a skilled fighter, but when he wasn't under HYDRA's control, he was less focused. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing, he had his own mind back. He was himself again. But being a regular human came with some disadvantages, and this was one of them. Plus, Peter was much more agile than him because he was petite and limber. And he could lift 20,000 pounds.
Peter got off and helped Bucky up.
"Good match, Uncle Buck," Peter smiled. Bucky smiled. He loved this kid, there was something about him that reminded him of he and Steve in the 30's. It was comforting.
Peter walked over to the water fountain in the training room, his feet squishing against the sparring mats below him. He cupped some water in his hands and splashed his face. He then pulled the bottom of his shirt up to wipe his face clean. It was only when he looked up he realized who was watching him.
Staring at him through the singular plexiglass wall of the training room, a handful of Peter's classmates, including Flash. MJ was there, too, so that was some comfort.
He pulled his shirt down hastily.
"Dude, Peter's ripped!"
"Is that the Winter Soldier he just beat?"
"That's Black Widow!"
"Dude, he does know the Avengers!"
"Take that, Flash!"
A bunch of muffled but decipherable voices shouted excitedly. Peter didn't know what to say or do. He knew they couldn't hear him, the room was soundproofed. But he could hear them. Oh boy.
"Peter, why are you staring at the tour group?" Natasha asked.
Peter spun around and walked over to her, still glancing at the class every few seconds. "Auntie Tasha, I know these kids," he said, thankful that they couldn't hear him.
"And you're not too hot on saying hello," she guessed. Peter nodded.
"Well," she said,"we have to walk out that door anyway, Tony says it's important. Just ignore them."
"Ignore them? I have to go to school with them!"
"Calm down, Peter." Natasha was smiling slightly and she slung an arm around Peter's neck. Bucky joined them, walking beside the other two. Peter sighed and they headed through the door.
As soon as it swung open, Peter was bombarded by questions.
"Peter, what are you doing here?" Betty asked. Peter was more confused as to what they were doing there on a Saturday.
Peter looked at her hesitantly. "I'm at work..."
The class wasn't satisfied with that. Despite the teacher's best efforts to control the group of students, they ran up to Natasha and Bucky.
"Hi! I love you guys."
"Can I maybe get a picture?"
Bucky shot them a paparazzi-worthy smile and spoke clearly, "Sorry guys, Tony wants us upstairs ASAP."
Then, the one and only Eugene "Flash" Thompson spoke up.
"Don't you have to leave Parker here, then?"
Nat gave him a confused look. "No, he asked for Peter too. Why?"
Flash was clearly too confident in his abilities to "out" Peter. "But he's just some lousy intern, why's he hanging with you guys?"
Then, for the first time since the encounter started, Bucky stopped smiling. "Lousy intern? He is not an intern-"
Flash smiled victoriously. "Ha! I knew you were lying, Penis! I'll make sure everyone finds out your lie."
Bucky shot Flash a glare. "You don't ever interrupt me, got that?" Flash started to look a little less confident after Bucky said that.
"I said Peter isn't an intern, he's a lot more than that. He's our family, and no one ever insults him. Especially not some dumbass teenager who thinks it's okay to insult my nephew or call him names. His name is Peter. Not Peta, not Pedro, not Penis. Peter. Got it?"
Flash, now pale and clearly scared, nodded again. "Ye-yes, sir."
"Now," Natasha spoke up, "scram before I get aggressive."
Flash backed up.
Then, the three superheroes turned and walked toward the elevator. Peter's face was red, but he was thankful for the support.
"Thanks, guys," he mumbled gratefully.
"No need to thank us," Bucky smiled again, "let's just hope whatever Tony has in store isn't too bad."
Then, right before the elevator closed, Peter heard one last shout from a classmate.
"Wait, did he say NEPHEW?!"
Hope you enjoyed! Please forgive typos, I didn't proofread :P
