Chapter 10: Remember me?

Adrien:

I awoke next to Mari who was still currently sleeping peacefully for now as the suns rays shone brightly through the window that Alya I presumed had opened. Yawning, I look around to find Alya gone and Nino sitting on the couch next to the window still curled up in his sleeping bag that I presume both Alya and Nino had slept in together. Nino was busy on his phone so he didn't take notice that I was awake on Mari's lap. As I laid there, comfortable, even though every thirty minutes or so nurses would come in, scold me, the give Mari her pain pills, then leave. I laid there resting my eyes as I just continued to share my body heat with the one person I love most in the world. I knew once this was all over, I was going to purpose. As I laid there, in total peace, I knew it wouldn't be for long as Alya came crashing through the door. I only growl and sly my head into the crook of Mari's neck. I knew she was awake now because her voice rang through my head, like a sound of an angel, a blooming flower, a peaceful meadow.

"Good morning Adrien." She had said, though I only responded my barring my head deeper into her neck in a loving way. She only giggled. giggled, that was the most beautiful sounds I have ever heard, as I fell her grip on my left hand loosen, only to feel it come to the back of my head? Wha- I cut myself off as her hand did amazing things to the back of my head. I couldn't help but let out a purr~.

"Mari, did you just pet Adrien?! And now he's purring, well I'm either having a really weird dream or you two are love sick couples." Alya turned to look at Nino and they both shook there heads in agreement that Mari and I are love-sick. As they continued laughing. Mari and I took no notice or embarrassment as we continued our little cuddle moment.

"Anyway, I brought food back, Mari I figured you'd want something light so I got you oatmeal and for the children." Both Adrien and Nino stopped what they were doing as they gave her an annoyed look as she just laughed it off and continued with her speech.

"I brought scrambled eggs!" She laughs some more as she points towards the plates that she had put on the counter that was provided in Mari's room.

"Thanks babe! Did you get anything for yourself?" Alya grabbed a plate of scrambled eggs and put it on my face, literally on my left eye ball as she cautiously put the bowl of oatmeal into Mari's hand that was petting me. I must agree that I did indeed feel a little flustered but that soon died down because food was here!

"FOOD! THANK ALYA!" I say as I take a big chunk of eggs onto my fork the into my mouth, the second it reached my tung it had been too late. A combination of old lady sweat, mildew, egg broth, and hair was just engulfed into my mouth. I quickly spit it out and start coughing. Through the coughing I managed to warn everyone not to eat the eggs. They were grateful and a little disgusted when I told them what I tasted.

"Do you want some of my meal?" I look towards Mari, as I was sitting up on the side of her bed. opposite of her injured thigh.

"No that's ok Mari." I smile as she only nods and continues to struggle holding up the bowl and spoon in the other? Wait? HOW COULD I BE SO OBIVIOUS!? Mari's wrists are broken! Fractured? I don't even know! I bet it was the eggs! Curse those eggs! I lean over back to Mari as I grab both the bowl and spoon from her.

"Here let me help." She nodded and I continued to help her eat. I quite actually enjoyed spending breakfast in bed with Mari. Her smile can bring out the best in people. People... Am I forgetting something? Curse those eggs... Just then Mari's dad and mom burst through the door still in their clothes from yesterday but through all the sweat they had photo album after photo album in there hands. I counted eight? No, nine? CURSE THOSE EGGS!

"We just go here! We gathered every photo album we had of Mari! Now we can look these after Tom and I go get some of those eggs downstairs." Sabrine, or I should say Marinette's mom protested as we all nodded but at the last second of them leaving I remembered something that they had said.

"WAIT!" Both parents come back into the room once more with confused looks. However I had a most degusted, horrifying look on my face.

"What ever you do... DO NOT EAT THOSE EGGS!!!" Both parents understood as the walked out with a bit of a concerned face. Meanwhile Nino is propping up stupid questions among the lines of 'Were the eggs that bad?' and 'Dude their just eggs.' I stare at him with demon fire as he quickly shut up. I turned back to Mari who looked confused as she had her head tilted to the side. She wasn't looking at either of us in the room either.

"Mari whats wrong?" She only looked at me then back. I follow her gaze and see a purple kwami outside the window?! I sprang up from the bed being very carful not to hurt Mari as I goes towards the kwami. Meanwhile both Plagg, Tikki, Trixx, and Wayzz was zooming over my shoulder to see Nooroo?

"Nooroo? Your free! How!? WHEN?!" Nooroo just came in through the window and sat on Mari's unmoving lap. The kwami stared at the confused girl.

"Who are you?" Mari... Mari's memory She doesn't remember Nooroo.

"I am Nooroo, kwami of the moth miraculous. I used to have a master that went by the name of Hawkmoth but he recently took off his miraculous by accident or force, I do not know I just took the chance to leave and then came here where I sensed all of you, and I am deeply sorry for what Hawkmoth did to you Mari, I hope in time you can forgive me as well for I was not strong enough to hold him back." Even though Nooroo had his head bent down in an apologetic way. That didn't partake me from the facial expression on Mari's face. Horror, fear, pain all struck her face at once. I hurried to her side and gave the kwami the death stare.

"YOU MADE HER REMEMBER DIDN'T YOU!?" The kwami just sat their sad, realizing what he had done. I sent Alya to fetch a nurse as I told Nooroo to go directly to master Fu's place to drop off the moth miraculous.

( ONE HOUR LATER )

Marinette:

All I can recall about what happened is when the Nooroo started talking, then he said a name. The name that caused me so much pain, the name that had now doomed me to remember everything. I was in a physical state of panic. All the memories that I couldn't recall earlier go came back o me. My life, my parents, my friends, my boyfriend, and my kidnapper all came back as I was hit emotionally with a strong blow of a punch as I was forced to remember what I had forgotten. I didn't feel grate at all as I remember the pain, and where it came from. I remember the smell, the light textures, the cold, the blood, the room, the knife. All of it seemed to come to view as I was falling into a deep dark hole that at the bottom was a light, a light that I could end all this pain and suffering. But what held me back was Adrien's voice from above me. I wanted to go to the voice but every time I push upwards reality pushes me back down deeper. I keep fighting and fighting then before I knew it I woke up in a dead sweat to find more machines that weren't here before here now as Adrien was asleep on the chair next to the hospital bed that I have become imprisoned too. He was holding my hand through his sleep. I couldn't help but smile, but that quickly vanished due to the recent events that had occurred. I can only guess that I passed out or something and Adrien deiced to stay this night or afternoon once again. I looked around the room and see no one else here. I then relax my body a bit more as I allow myself to finally sleep knowing that Adrien will always be their for me when I need him most right?
