Mahir walked into Sehgal house casually but right now there was a war going on between his mind and heart thinking about Bela.

Sumitra who saw Mahir come in early questioned him.

Mahir... Today also you came an hour early... Sumi asked shocked seeing the changes in Mahir since a few days.

Actually Maa...

Sumi Aunty he is 40 minutes late...

Mahir was about to answer but before he could say anything he heard someone else speak. That someone who he had no intention to meet.

Really Bela??? Sumi asked confused from what she heard.

Today classes was there until the lunch break only... So he should had been here by 1:00 pm... But his car broke down... Yet he could have reached here by 1:50 pm... So tell me where were you until now??? Bela spoke with anger clearly shown in her talks.

I can guess how you know about my class timings... But how do you know that my car broke down Bela... Mahir asked trying to act innocent.

I saw you Mahir... But you didn't because you were too busy in talking to your Anu... Sumi sensed that Bela is jealous and now she thought to intervene in the conservation.

Who's Anu??? Sumi's question made BeHir realise that her presence.

She's my classmate Maa... She dropped me home as my car broke down... On the way we had stopped to have Coffee so I got late Bela and I'm really so sorry as I didn't hear you call me... Mahir answered both Sumi and Bela's questions.

Hearing Mahir speak, Bela's anger and jealously doubled. She spoke nothing and Mahir excused himself as he was tried.

Mahir walked out of the washroom wiping his face with the towel and bumped into someone.

Mahir frowned but in the next second knew who it was. He removed the towel from his face to see a raged Bela standing dangerously close to him. So he tried to move back but Bela held his collar and pulled him closer.

What do you think of yourself Mr. Mahir Sehgal??? Why are you ignoring me from your birthday??? What's wrong Mahir??? What happened suddenly because as much as I remember everything was going well between us???

Bela bombarded Mahir with a lot of questions. By the end her anger was replaced by her hurt with tears pooling in her eyes.

Everything is fine Bela... I'm not ignoring you... Mahir tried to defend his actions.

Oh really... Even though you heard me call you, you acted as if you didn't hear and went away with Anu... Bela's anger resurfaced hearing Mahir's talk.

I didn't hear you Bela... Mahir repeated once again.

Then how do you know that I called you when you hadn't heard me... I had just said that I saw you... I remember well that I didn't said anything about me calling you... Bela pointed out pulling Mahir more closer, Mahir gulped as he felt Bela's breath on his neck.

Mahir cursed his slip of tongue as he himself let out the truth.

Until today a small part of my mind believed that my feelings are mutual but today you made me realise that you don't even consider me as your friend... Bela said frustrated by Mahir's behaviour.

Mahir was shocked and he didn't wanted to understand what Bela meant as he didn't wanted any false hopes.

Bela what do you mean by...

Mahir began to speak and Bela left his collar and pushed him away. She turned around and wiped her tears.

I thought you meant it when you said that you are my BBF... But I was wrong... You just consider me as your Brother's Friend... Bela said and ran out of Mahir's room, leaving a confused Mahir behind.

Thinking about Bela...

As Mahir heard his Mother's voice his reverie was broken. He was surprised to hear what Sumitra said and he just stared at her as if she had turned into a Naagin.

I'm your Mother Mahir, if you forgot it... I can easily guess what's haunting in your mind... Sumi said sitting next to Mahir on the swing in the terrace.

Your changed behaviour made it clear that something is bothering you a lot and by seeing your and Bela's interaction today I understood what's your problem... Sumitra continued to speak while Mahir just sat still staring at the moon.

I Love her a lot Maa... But she doesn't Lo...

Before Mahir could complete his sentence he reached a smack on his head.

Maa??? Mahir spoke confused at his Mother's action.

I can't believe that My Son is such a dumb person... Of course Bela Loves you Mahir... She always had a soft corner for you more than Yuvi... Today I saw the jealously in her when you mentioned about Anu... Not to forget the tears which told me that I am absolutely right in my assumption...

Sumi explained to Mahir like a Mother explaining her kid how to do mathematical calculations.

Don't make it too late Mahir... Tell her your feelings soon... Now sleep... Goodnight... Sumitra said as she kissed Mahir's forehead.

Mahir was lost in his thoughts thinking about what Sumitra said. Now things started to clear in his mind. Somewhere he felt that Yuvi was wrong. So he decided to take a risk and express his feelings to Bela.

Mahir finally said to Bela. He waited for her to say something but she just stood still staring at him.

Instead of replying to Mahir, Bela slapped him.
