At this point, Jeno didn't know if he'd ever get out of the library.

Surely it didn't look like he belonged there, but he found comfort in the smell of worn books and the comfortable chairs that reside in the large room.

He had become slightly friends with the librarian after going to the peaceful place for a while.

But the library both hurt and healed him.

This is where he had asked his ex out, and where most of their memories took place, which hurt him the most.

But it also healed him as he could make new memories from the stories and lessons told inside each and every page that the hundreds of books held.

He liked finding one that would absolutely blow his mind, and would thoroughly enjoy it as it would get his mind off of the memories of her.

But as soon as he would realize that the story was exactly that, a story, he would have to face the truth and would go back to the memories made.

Today seemed the same as he walked through the bookshelf aisles, fingers running on the books' spines as he recalled a much better time.

. . .

Yu Nawoon's.

Those were the words boldly printed on his arm.

They both sat on one of the slightly oversized comfortable chairs, the small girl nestled into Jeno's arms as he read a book he had to do an assignment on for his Literature class.

"Jeno-yah!"

That's what she had exclaimed when she found him in the quiet room, before happily placing herself into his arms and examining the book he held in his hands.

"What's this for?" she had asked, pointing cutely at the book.

Jeno stopped reading, and looked at her with a smile.

"Literature class assignment," he had said softly.

"And you're actually reading it? That's a first," she said, teasing the boy slightly.

He smiled before giving her a beautiful eye smile.

"I have to read it to get an A, silly," he ruffled her hair slightly, "or I wouldn't be at all."

"Not the hair!" she defended before pouting cutely and fixing her hair which hadn't been messed up at all.

He simply smiled, before returning back to his book.

. . .

He sat on the same chair, stretching his arms out to the arm rests before feeling the cool leather.

He missed her so much, so why did she have to break up with him to be with him?

He thought that they had a connection, something that wouldn't break.

Even now he still refused to hear the truth that he had been told.

"Jeno-yah, you're a popular athlete, why else would Nawoon get together with you?"

"She was only using you for popularity, why can't you see that?"

"She didn't really love you, she only put up with you to make him jealous."

"I didn't love you Jeno, and I never will. Why can't you get that? I loved him more, but I can never fall in love with you."

She had even admitted it herself, the last line stabbing swords into his already bruised heart.

He couldn't help but clench his jaw, and lean against the bookshelf he now stood beside.

Just how long am I going to have to stand next to these bookshelves until I find a way to forget her?

. . .
