A Father's Worry

PETER'S POV (Amanda's Father)

I watch as my daughter hops on the back of that beast, with another girl, and the creature that haunts this forest. The creature that cursed my wife.

~FLASHBACK~
One o'clock. Serena's been out for about four hours now. I look outside. It's a beautiful day, so she's probably in 'The Enchanted Forest'. I quickly get dressed appropriately and rush out the door.
"Serena? Serena, where are you?" I call into the outskirts of the forest. I weave through countless trees, but still I can't find her. That was until I spotted a light nearby. I walk closer to the light until I stop dead in my tracks. I look forward and see my wife lying dead on the floor and a beast with white eyes floating above her.

"You're a monster!" I yell, eyes burning with tears as I run towards the figure. I try to hit them but they disappear before I could land a blow on them. Weakly, I drop to my knees and hug my wife's lifeless body. This isn't fair. This isn't fair. This isn't fair!
Selena doesn't deserve this. Amanda doesn't deserve this!
It should've been me!"

~END OF FLASHBACK~

"It should've been me..." I whisper to myself. I grit my and squeezed my eyes shut. I thought I suppressed that memory. Apparently not. Suddenly, I feel the plants entangling me losen, and eventually drop, allowing me to be free. The plants loosen around everyone else to, letting them softly drop to the ground.
"Why didn't that witch kill us?" Someone questions, which causes murmurs to spread throughout the group. I clear my throat to get everyone's attention.

"It was obviously thought that we weren't worth its time." I say as nods of agreement are seen.
"I'm still going after it, but I need some help. Whose with me!"

There was a long silence before a man with hazelnut coloured hair stepped forward.
"That thing brainwashed my daughter. I want to take it down as much as you."

I nodded, allowing the man to walk next to me.
"Who else?"

After that, a few more people started lining up. I eventually had ten people, including myself, to go on this witch hunt.

I will kill that witch. I will get Amanda back!
