Day 1 as a "Hero Student" Pt.1

One day, I was walking home from school. I was listening to "Bakugo!" by Kamil to pass the time as I walked. I was also crying. I do that sometimes. I don't know why I do. I was sad even though I had a good life. I just had depression because I felt like a bad person. I wanted nothing more than to fade away or just anything just to escape reality. I hate myself. Just as I had finished that thought, a portal pops up in front of me. It spooked me so I fell onto my ass.

"Agh!!" I looked up after I fell. "What the hell?" It's a grey, pulsating portal. "This can't be..." I smile, wiping away the tears from my eyes. I stand up. I slowly walk over to the portal. It's making some sort of warping sound. I closed my eyes, "Please... Take me anywhere... Anywhere but here..." And I stepped through.
