It's gone on too long.
At this point,
All I know is numbness.
A weary existence, spent
Treading through deep water,
Only focused on searching for the shore.Every movement is a drag.
My legs are buckling,
And each millimetre takes a century.
My head is above the surface,
And I can breathe just fine,
But every part of my body feels
Weak.I feel like I'm going to be in the water forever.
Never drowning nor floating, just...
There.
I've been searching for days,
Months,
Years. But not once have I seen the shoreline.
Just an endless stretch of water weighing me down.
