Jayla woke up to hear her brother Jahki singing "Sensitivity" by Ralph Tresvant as he washed his face in the bathroom.

She never has used an alarm to this day due to Jahki being a reliable source, she either wakes up to hear his angelic voice or PYT by Micheal Jackson blasting in her ear from his beats speaker (basically any song by the king of pop).

She stretched out as she yawned and walked to the bathroom door
"Okay fake Ralph Tresvant, are you done I gotta get ready" she jokingly spoke as she leaned against the door frame while she watched Jahki dry his face

Jahki's eyes lit up then he smiled and turned around facing her "I see you got jokes but the bathroom is open for you madame" he jokingly said before doing a curtsey and they both chuckled

She shook her head as She walked in the bathroom and he left

  Once she finished her routine and hygiene she got dressed in her school uniform

She examined herself in the mirror with her eyebrows furrowed then she turned around and asked her brother who was scrolling through Instagram "Aye Jah What do you think?"

His head shot up with his eyes lit up then he playfully sucked his teeth
"Jay you look fine" he dryly said

She rolled her eyes and grabbed her backpack then walked out the room

Jahki playfully rolled his eyes at her dramatic act then followed her "Wow, you're so dramatic, and what's the big deal we wear uniforms every day... oh wait I get it you wanna look good for Kareem huh?" He joked causing Jayla to stop dead in her tracks

Jahki has been making jokes about Jayla supposedly having a thing for Kareem ever since they were in elementary school. One secret he's kept from her though is that Kareem told him he has a crush on her, even though  Jahki's extremely over protective of Jayla he would make an exception for Kareem because of their brotherly relationship.

She slowly turned around facing him "What did you ju-...... you know what, I'm not even gonna say anything" she said as she walked downstairs into the living room shaking her head

He chuckled and continued following her "Aw I'm just playing, you look foine everyday girl Kareem gonna be all over you" he joked in a fake feminine voice and snapped his fingers with every word as he followed her in the kitchen

She tried to hold back her chuckle but it slipped out "I hate you I swear"
she said shaking her head as she sat down

He leaned against the island and grabbed an apple before taking a bite of it "That's a lie, you know you love me girl stop playing" he forced out as he chewed

Their mother turned away from the stove with a plate of breakfast in each hand "What's all this fussing about?"
She asked as she placed a plate in front of the both of them as she shook her head

Jahki threw the apple core in the trash then sat down "Nothing ma, Jay just being dramatic as usual" he said before taking a bite of scrambled eggs
