For Draco, the day was a blur. It seemed like from the moment he got on the train, he was living a dream. Being picked for Slytherin was the most magical part of the entire experience for him! He would finally be living up to his family's standards! And he made so many friends already! He liked a lot of the Slytherins, they were nothing like the kids in the bus said!
He left the great hall with his new house and went deep into the castle to the dungeon. When they went in, he immediately loved it. Greenish lamps glowed softly across the stone, gothic room. It was his favorite shade of green too. His fingers trailed across the soft green cushion on a large chair near the entrance before he let himself be led to his new dorm.
Late that night, when everyone else was asleep, he let himself be excited. He squeezed his pillow and smiled to himself. Here he was, in the right dorm, in the best wizarding school, surrounded by the right people. He loved it. He blushed then sternly composed himself. He had to give off a good impression to the other Slytherins! He practiced being cold and aloof for the rest of the night
