"Ugh come on Jake, you have been complaining about the same group of boys for the last year! I think calling Sam Uley a cult leader is a bit excessive." Faye complains as she works on organizing the tool box in front of her out of boredom.

Jacob grumbles angrily while adjusting the bolts on his bike, "don't you find it weird that first Sam disappeared, then it was Jared Cameron, and now Paul Lahote."

"The only thing I find weird is the fact that you care so much." The girl giggles and throws one of the small nuts at her best friend jokingly. "Besides, they were all assholes anyways. Dropping out of school probably made La Push High a better and more enjoyable place in the end."

Jacob shakes his head, "don't act like you weren't in love with Paul just last year."

Faye gasps dramatically, "not love... I'd call it more of an infatuation. I mean have you seen the man he is absolutely gorgeous."

He scoffs, "with a long line of girls standing at his door that he has no problem messing with."

"Hence why I never bothered to add myself to that line Jake. Besides it's not like he even knows I exist, he's a senior... or was."

"But-"

Faye cuts him off, "Jake can we please get out of this stuffy garage and go enjoy the slightly nice weather outside. I Brought my camera and would love to get some good shots before the rain returns."

Jacob's sigh, tinged with annoyance, couldn't overshadow the allure of the sun's rare appearance. After days shrouded in gloom, its warm embrace was a welcome change. The verdant expanse that cradled his modest home was a tapestry of nature's finest—creeks, creatures, meadows, and cliffs—each element a jewel in the crown of the wilderness. It was this very canvas of natural beauty that made it Faye's sanctuary, where she could ensnare the essence of the wilds through her lens, each snapshot a testament to the splendor that lay just beyond her doorstep.

"Fee you know my dad gets angry whenever we wander into the woods."

The girl rolls her eyes, "he doesn't get angry Jake... he just gets a little upset."

"A little upset?" He asks exasperated, "he grounded me last time for a week and forbade me from seeing you ever again because you're a bad influence."

Faye rolls her eyes sarcastically, "and look where that got him because I'm still here and he still loves me."

Jacob grumbles as he follows Faye into the dense greenery just beyond the house. The melodious songs of birds fill the air, while rabbits dart past, seeking refuge in the bushes. Sunlight filters through the branches, casting a radiant glow that beckons Faye's lens. With precision, she raises her camera, adjusting for optimal lighting before capturing the moment with a gentle press of her finger on the shutter release.
