Prologue

[ 3 years later ]

Infinite is doing so well that we gain more and more fans each day. We even gained lots of fans from overseas.

Our CEO wants us to gain more attention and to be more popular not just here but all around the world. Our company doesn't struggle financially but it can't afford what our CEO wants to happen so he decided to merge with SM Ent.

We were shocked by our CEO's sudden decision but we trust him. Our CEO doesn't just act as our CEO but also as our family. He acts like he's an older brother to us, he really takes good care of us.

He's the reason why we have what we have right now so we trust him in whatever decisions he makes. But I can't allow what he wants me to do right now. It's ridiculous!

"You want me to what?! What nonsense are you talking about, dae-pyo-nim (CEO/president)?" I asked, feeling so baffled. He called me and said that he needs to discuss something with me so here I am right now in his office.

"It's not nonsense, it's for your own good," he said while signing some papers.

"How could you say it like its nothing?! Sun-ji and I had been together more than the years I've been in this company and now you want what?! You want me to break up with her?! Just like that?!" I furiously said. This is so ridiculous!

"This is for your career," he said as he looked at me.

"The hell with my career!" I shouted.

"Why the sudden change of mind, dae-pyo-nim? You told me that you don't oppose our relationship. You even gave us your blessing!" I frustratingly shouted.

"I know. I know," he said almost whispering. He brushed his hair using his hands like his so stresses out.

"It's not me who wants that to happen. It's the SM's CEO," he said and sighed.

"Mwo?" I said as I creased my eyebrows from anger.

"Look, L. I know what I'm asking you to do is too much for you but can't you trust me? Can't you trust your CEO?" he said with his pleading eyes.

"You know that we trust you, dae-pyo-nim. But what you're asking me to do is..." I said and let out a heavy sigh.

"I'm doing this not just for you, L, but also for Sun-ji. You're at the peek of your career and Sun-ji is about to reach it too. Just think about what will happen if your fans finds out about you two. It will affect both of your career," he explained.

He's right, our relationship might affect her career...her dream. But this is absurd! Oh gosh, I'm having a headache at what's happening right now.

"Think about it, L," he said and I looked at him.

"I don't know, dae-pyo-nim. This is ridiculous. It's too much," I said and stormed off his office.
