I stood in front of the mirror staring at my beautiful flowing black hair and my deep ocean blue eyes. My parents used to tell me how beautiful I was. Until they didn't. I try so hard to remember that because now it's nothing but a memory. They would always go on trips looking for something, something that they never mentioned. They would tell me legends about a yellow mythical flower that was shaped as a dragon. One day they came home and there was something strange about their eyes for some reason. The inside of their eye, the white was bloodshot red. They continued to ignore it, suggesting that it was only a severe hay fever allergy. My parents planted a flower in our backyard and they told me to be careful while watering it. They even yelled at me if I got within five meters of it. As usual I don't listen so I walked into the garden staring right at the bright yellow plant. Why should I be so careful around a flower, if it's just... a flower?

 a flower?
