These are the original drafts for the cover as well as the names I was going to use for this story. 'The Huia and the Tui' was the original name but I thought it looked dumb so I thought 'the Makahs Captive' because it was more in line with the plot line. I ended up changing it to 'Capturing the Makah' cause that sounded and looked even better than the previous two.
I knew I would use either the clear blue sky picture or the green one, I Just didn't know which. I later realised forks was full of lush green, dewy trees and went for the obvious choice. I would have been quite happy with the Clear sky one but the final cover truly Calls to me.... (get it ;P) Anyway, enjoy my loves.
