Malibu: Back to The Beach

Chapter 3

It was the 2nd day of training for the flounders. Vouch picked them all up and brought them to the beach.

The team brought themselves over to headquarters to meet with Dylan. She wasn't there so they decided to wait for her. They all sat down on some chairs. Ashely of course tried to sit next to Eric but he then sat up and talked to Lizzie standing
Tyler got to know Jason a bit more.

"So what's it like being on the flounders" Jason asked Tyler trying to get to know the place better.

"We get a lot of hate from Malibu kids but other than that...it's pretty awesome" Tyler told him bringing his tone from down to up.

"And what about the girls. Are they chill" Jason winked. At this point he realized that Jason May have been a masked man. And by that, a guy that is very into ladies.

"Well Gina is a competitive girl with a temper. She has her moments thought. Dylan is super cool. I don't really know Ashley and Lizzie is dating Eric" Tyler explained.

Ashley's eyes darted over to Tyler.

"Sorry what was that about Eric and Linsey" Ashley asked sweetly.

"It's Lizzie and I said that they are dating. They kept it for a secret for a bit but on the last day they kissed in front of us all.. they're really gross but don't even get any thoughts about either." Tyler explained again to Jason and Ashley without thinking.

"Oh is that so" Ashley smile devilishly without catching anyone's attention.

"Yeah I just said so" Tyler told her blankly. Ashley rolled her eyes and walked away leaving the two boys talking about girls.

"Yeah maybe we can spend more time together next school year" Eric suggested adding on to the conversation he was having with Lizzie.
"Sounds great." Lizzie smiled warmly.

"For now though I'm just happy I spend everyday with you" Eric smiled a bit nervously. He had never been one to be super smooth but that's what Lizzie liked about him. He wasn't afraid to take risks.

"Yeah me to" Lizzie smiled a huge smile with a little tint of red lighting on her freckles.

Within seconds Ashley walked up to Eric and Lizzie with confidence. Assuming that she was there for Eric, Lizzie looked down at her shoes with a faded smile.
Eric,hating how she was making Lizzie feel, thought about telling her off.

"Hey Lizzie can I talk to you" Ashley said with a smile.

Lizzie looked up at her with surprise and then looked at Eric. Eric was at a loss for words.

"Uh sure" Lizzie, told her in a baffled expression. They walked to a different area as Eric stared in confusion. Lizzie made sure to look back at his worried face.

Ashley pulled Lizzie to an area with no people around.

"What's up" Lizzie asked putting her hands uncomfortably on her upper arms.

"I just wanted to say sorry" Ashley told her with remorse. Lizzie tilted her head straight and lifted her face up. Her expression becoming surprised.

"A..about what exactly" she asked shaking her head in disbelief.

Ashley tilted her head down and placed her left hand on her right shoulder. She then met with Lizzie's eyes again.

"I overheard Tyler talking about how you and Eric are a thing. I know that you and Eric have both noticed....."

"That you are always flirting with him. And being touchy." Lizzie interrupted with a hurt and edgy tone.

"Yeah. Honestly I didn't know he was taken and I feel bad about the way I bet I've made you feel." Ashley seemed to be telling the truth.

"It wasn't the greatest feeling" Lizzie admitted averting here eyes to the side.

"Which is why I wanted to start a new. Could we start over."  Ashley asked putting out her hand.

Lizzie thought about this with hesitation. After the whole Thornton Pavey situation Lizzie has been very suspicious of everyone, and everything.

Something about Ashley was suspicious. There was nothing Lizzie could do about it so she came to the conclusion of making a truce.

Lizzie shook Ashley's hand with still suspicion.

"Great. And could you tell all this to Eric. It's a bit embarrassing if you know what I mean." Ashley said sheepishly.

"Sure" Lizzie told her still with a confused   tone.

Lizzie turned back around and walked up to Eric.

"What's happened" he asked in a panic.

Lizzie explained everything that had just happened.

"So are we just supposed to start over" Lizzie asked reconsulting Eric.

"No your right there something off about this. I'm not taking any chances."  Eric pronounced as serious as he could.

As serious as it was Lizzie couldn't help but think of how cute it was that Eric was taking initiative to the situation. She then began to think of other things however.

"You don't think this is a plan to break us up do you" Lizzie asked fast and nervously.

"There's nothing she could do. I wouldn't break up with you if it meant all mankind would die out" Eric told her with a warm caring smile.

Lizzie was glowing. Her smile was goofy.

"You really mean that" she asked.

" I wouldn't say it if it wasn't true" Eric smiled again.

He reached down to grab her hand but it was interrupted by the sound of a voice entering headquarters in a hurry.

"Alright guys who's ready for more training." Dylan asked everyone out of breath. The flounders stared at her in question and concern. There was silence.

"Ok so I'm a little late." Dylan said smiling with heavy breath.

"We supposed to start an hour ago. Where were you" Gina asked with a bit of annoyance and question.

"Sorry guys my alarm didn't go off" Dylan said slowly as if lying.

"Classic Dylan" all the original flounders said at once.

Dylan rolled her eyes and smiled.

"Anyway for this weeks training we are going to be swimming get your buts to the beach. and run there." Dylan said with a smile.

The flounders stood in place at her change of aggression.

"Go Go Go" she yelled.

The valley kids ran over to the beach as fast as they could to begin their day of training.
