I cry beneath my cheerful mask.
I suffer in silence because that's how the word prefers it.

I really miss you.
Please don't turn away,
Don't say your goodbyes.
You said you loved me,
Or was it a lie?
Hoped we'd stay together,
But that was just a fickle desire.
Now your gone,
And I'm alone.
I swallow my sorrow,
And say I'm just fine.
I'll move on.
I wish I understood why,
When I follow my heart,
I always end up with tears and heart ache.
Perhaps I should follow my head,
And discard my emotions.
