He asked me out that night. From then on, Jack and I were inseparable. We couldn't go one minute with out comunicating. We would spend every second together and then the moment we were seperated we texted. It was like the relationships that only happen in the movies. When October came so did the problems. The problems meaning Ava Torres. She was Jack's ex before me. Kyle told me she was crazy for him and would kill anyone that got in her way. She also told me she was amazingly beautiful and perfect and also popular. When I met her I figured out that what Kyle said was no lie. Ava was like a Barbie. A straight up Barbie. She was blonde, had big boobs, big butt, tall and basically what all girls dream of being...perfect. Then there was me. No where near as pretty as her. Jack and I walked into math one day and sat next to his best friend Noah. Noah was the blonde kid I first saw Jack with. He was just as good looking with his light blonde hair with the flow bangs, muscular build, and style. He might play football in the fall, but dressed like a lacrosse player year round. Not to say Jack didn't. He was the same as Noah but had brown hair. I loved playing with it. We both sat. Jack and Noah engaged in a conversation about a sport while I texted my best friend from home Skyler. Ava came over and sat on Noah's desk.
"Hi Jack, hi Noah." It was quite flirtatious and I didn't like this at all. They said hi and payed no attention to her. She got down from the desk and put her arms on it revealing her cleavage. Noah turned to her.
"Ava, go away. We don't want to talk to you." She rolled her eyes and turned to me.
"I'm Ava." She said.
"Savannah." I said back.
"Are you new?" She asked.
"Yeah I moved here from Oregon." Jack turned to us and started paying attention to our conversation.
"You should come and sit with me and my friends." She said.
"Ava, she doesn't want to, leave her be." Jack said. I looked at him.
"I didn't know you answer for me now." Ava got a gambling look on her face. She didn't know whether or not I'd go with her. I didn't know if I should. I mean if Jack was that resistant to her that could mean something.
"So?" She said beginning to get impatient.
"Ummm...I think I will sit here. Thanks anyway." Jack went back to his conversation with Noah.
"Well then give me your phone so we can hang out after school." I unlocked it and gave it to her. I knew I would probably end up hanging with Jack so it didn't really matter.
"Kyle Peters texted you." She said.
"Thanks." I smiled politely at her. She walked to her seat with all her friends and they were whispering about me I assumed.
"That's Ava Torres." Noah said.
"She seems nice why were you guys so mean to her?"
"Because she is a bitch Savannah." Jack said.
"How?"
"Just trust him Sav...she isn't a good person to be hanging around." Noah said.
"Savannah for your own good...stay away from her. Keep hanging out with Kyle and Janey. They're good girls." I wanted to take his advice but I mean he could just be bitter towards her because of the break up. I was bitter towards Joey and if people asked me if they should chill with him or not, I would say no too. I decided to ask Kyle and Janey.
During lunch I went out with Kyle and Janey to this place called Baleni's. When we got our food and sat I brought up the insedent that happened in math class.
"STAY AWAY!" Kyle semi-yelled. Janey hushed her.
"She is right stay away from her and her group. Stick with us and Jack and whoever he hangs out with." Janey said.
"Whats wrong with her. Jack said the same thing and so did Noah." After I said that it got silent. Kyle looked down and Janey looked like she was keeping something."What is it." I asked curiously.
"She stole my boyfriend in eighth and nineth grade." Kyle said shortly.
"So why couldn't you tell me that?" They put their heads down again. I came to a realization."Was your boyfriend Jack?" I asked.
"Yeah." Kyle said softly.
"And you didnt tell me?" I ran my hand through my hair.
"It was last year I didn't think it would matter."
"It does if I am your friend!" I said. I walked out. Kyle ran out after me calling my name.

I found Jack talkng to some of his football friends.
"I need to talk to you." I had tears welling up in my eyes.
"What's wrong?" He said pulling me aside.
"Why did you not tell me about Kyle?" I asked. The tears in my eyes began to get heavy.
"Why does it matter? It happened a year ago."
"She is my best friend. That's why you didn't want me to be friends with Ava! She would've told me what happened between you guys last year!" A tear fell from my eye. Jack tried to wipe it away but I jerked my head away.
"Savannah."
"What?" I asked looking away.
"Don't act like this." He said.
"You sound like Joey..." I regrettably said under my breath. Another tear fell. Jack pulled me close.
"Savannah, you don't mean that..." I pulled away and ran. He called after me but I kept running. I went home and ignored all contact with Jack and Kyle.
