the only child of narcissa black and lucius malfoy . proud to be pureblood and slytherin , draco was raised with prejudice against anyone of blood impurity as well as anyone who opposed purebloods superioty . living under fear and pressure from his father and others , the boy turns to unhealthy and often unkind coping mechanisms which include putting others down to try and make him feel better about himself . he tries to keep up a brooding , uncaring image as the ' prince of slytherin ' , but in reality , he's one wave short of shipwreck .
