        "TELL. ME. EVERYTHING."

Alisa giggled at her best friend's eagerness. She'd been dying to tell her too, and multiple times she had nearly spilt the beans in front of her parents. Now, in the safety of her old bedroom-turned-guestroom, the two girls sat cross-legged on the bed.

"He was so... perfect," Alisa began dreamily. "Everything about him: his hair, his voice, his smile, that damn dimple--"

Alisa's phone dinged with a new notification.

MENA

"Is that him?" Rosemary squealed. Alisa grinned. "Tell him I love him!"

ALISA

"How many times did you guys kiss?" Rosemary giggled.

"Uh... I wasn't counting. But he swung by my apartment yesterday and gave me a bunch of lavenders--"

"Lavenders?! That's not romantic!"

"Oh, but it was to me," Alisa sighed, recalling his charming bashfulness, the feeling of him drawing her closer by the waist, his words, deep in meaning and low in tone.

MENA

"Damn, Lissie. Never in my life have I seen you like this! Get it, girl!"

"Stop." Alisa was turning red. But Rosemary was right; never in the history of Alisa's love life had she shown as much affection towards any of her other boyfriends as she did with Mena. Deep down, she worried that it was moving way too fast, or perhaps fame would somehow work some magic to tear them apart.

Rosemary noticed a slight change in her expression. "What's wrong?"

"I don't know. I keep worrying that something's going to go wrong. We're moving really quickly with this. And he's going to be really famous. He might not have time for a relationship. I just don't want to be heartbroken again, you know?"

"Well, you're going to be really famous soon, too. Don't deny it, Lissie. So you've got to ask yourself the same question. Even if you were super busy, would you find time for this relationship?"

"Well, yeah..."

"Then so will he. You've just got to trust fate to do its thing."

Suddenly, Alisa's phone buzzed. The screen lit up with a picture of Mena kissing her crown. Rosemary snatched up the phone and answered the call for her. "Hello Mena Massoud, I'm your biggest fan, I love you so much!"

"Uh, thanks? Is this Rosie?"

"He knows who I am!" Rosemary yelled to Alisa, who swiftly snatched the phone from her.

"Hey Meens," Alisa said. "Sorry about that."

He smiled at her angelic voice through the speaker. "That's ok. How are you, princess?"

She internally died at the compliment. "Not bad, and you, street rat?"

"Hey! Maybe I should call you Blondie next time. But yes, I'm good. Could you do me a favour?"

Alisa's stomach dropped. She didn't know why his request made her nervous, but she agreed anyway.

"Your bedroom has a window, right? Go stand by it, and look outside."

She didn't know what to expect, but she saw nothing out of the ordinary when she looked into the night scenery. "Ok, I'm doing what you told me to do."

"Did you look out into the night sky?"

Her eyes trailed upwards to catch a glimpse of the full moon. "The moon, it's--"

"Full. Just as I promised." She could imagine his cheeky grin, his adorable dimple, the way the corners of his eyes bunched up with his smile. Unknowingly, she was smiling just as broadly too. She wanted to kiss those lips, she wanted to be in his arms staring into the night sky and admiring the moon.

"Thank you," she whispered to the phone.

"Anything for you," Mena replied. He looked to the moon as he spoke to Alisa as if the moon could hear him and relay his message to her. "Say, will you ever be in Toronto?"

"For the press tour in about a year, yeah."

"That's ages away," he pouted. "I'll fly you out here one weekend. All expenses paid for."

"Why don't you fly down here?" Alisa suggested.

At that moment her mom had walked into the room. She asked Rosemary, "Who is she talking to?"

"A really cute actor she met in LA," she dreamily replied. Her mom was thrilled that she'd met someone that she wanted to bring home so soon. She left the room, eager to hear of this man.

"How about this. For every trip you fly up to Toronto, I'll fly down to Miami."

"Sounds like a deal, street rat."

"You've got to stop calling me that, princess."

"That'll be the day I stop calling you mine."
